Strathassynt Cottage is centrally located in the heart of the West Highlands of Scotland, and this makes it a perfect base for exploring the area. Day trips are possible to the Isle of Mull (and Iona) and the Isle of Skye, as well as south to Loch Awe, Inverary and Oban, and north to Fort William, the Great Glen and Loch Ness. You really couldn't pick a better base for exploring the stunning scenery, history, and whisky the area has to offer.
Getting around
There is no doubt that the easiest way to see the sights is by car. That said, the bus stop is right outside our door from which there is a regular service between KinlochLeven and Fort William, and down to Oban. The bus from Glasgow to Skye also stops here making getting here and moving on very easy,
