Holiday Rental House
Stone Cottage is located between Glencoe and Ballachulish villages (5 minute walk to each). An ideal location for all outdoor enthusiasts. Climbing, walking, fishing, golf and watersports are all a short distance away. The cottage has a beamed ceiling in the living room. Light the log burning stove, curl up with a glass of wine and relax in the warmth whilst watching the boats bobbing on the water. In line with our policy to always improve our cottages, in December 2018 we are installing high quality double glazing in our cottages with the ability to reduce eternal noise down to a minimum, to help ensure all our guests enjoy the peace and quiet. New external doors are also being installed. Go and explore the woodland area at the rear of the cottage (at own risk). Guests should be over the age of 5 (due to high walls external to the cottage). Although the price of the final clean is included in the price, the cottage should be left tidy. This means for example bins emptied, dishes washed and returned to cupboards. Please take your own glass to recycling. If this is left for the housekeeper to do, ad £5 charge will be made, which will be paid to the housekeeper.

Great base for exploring

The cottage was in an excellent location for hiking, strolling into town/market and watching sailors. Although there was a lot of traffic on the A82 it wasn't particularly audible or distracting to us inside and there were plenty of breaks to walk across the road....More

A most enjoyable holiday

My family and I spent 10 days staying at this charming cottage. We were very comfortable and enjoyed both the cottage and its very convenient location to have a tremendous holiday. I would happily return and certainly recommend this cottage for a family holiday.

Great cottage

The cottage is in a great location close to Glencoe and next to the loch. It is well equipped and comfortable.

Local museum, water-sports centre, indoor ice climbing wall, golf, fishing, walking and climbing are all available close by. A newly opened cycle path allows you to enjoy the local area without having to worry about the traffic. It is possible to hire bikes in the village. Bike storage is also available at the cottage - please arrange in advance. There are a wide variety of walks in the local area that are suitable for all abilities. During peak seasons, organised walks are arranged. Learn how to take stunning photographs, or for those who are confident in photography - a local guide will escort you to the best places to take dramatic photos.
Getting around
There is a local bus service to Fort William/ Oban and Glasgow. It is a short walk to the local supermarket, pubs, cafes, playgrounds and both Ballachulish and Glencoe villages.
