Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: Check in time is after 4pm. Please note: There is a good housekeeping bond of €200 which is payable on arrival. Region: Known as the “Sunny South East”, the counties of Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, and Tipperary offer everything you could need for a dream holiday in Ireland. Miles of sandy beach and scenic drives taking in mountains and coast are on your doorstep. Town: The valley of the River Ow boasts scenery, and spreads north-west of Aughrim for about 10 miles to the base of Lugnaquilla Mountain. It is definitely worth a visit, with a selection of local pubs and restaurants, and landmarks such as the Old Mill and the local Catholic and Church of Ireland churches. There is a pleasant 4km riverside and woodland walk starting at Tinnakilly Bridge following the Ballycreen Brook from Aughrim village deep into the Tinnakilly Woods.

Trip down Memory Lane
Just arrived home after spending 5 days at Derrywater House Aughrim. Area perfect for touring Wicklow and surrounding areas. House ideal for large parties. Brian and his wife are perfect hosts, very warm and welcoming. Brian so very informative on area and places to visit. Grounds of the house are magnificent and most nights were spent around the pit fire. Highly recommended.

Excellent Hosts
I booked Derrywater House as one of the accommodation locations for some of the wedding party for our upcoming wedding in June 2021. I initially booked the property in mid-2020. Sadly, after holding out as long as possible (March 2021), we had to cancel the wedding due to the obvious restrictions in place. This host, Brian, was exceptionally understanding and kindly refunded our deposit without hesitation. Although we did not get to stay at the accommodation, Brian was a true pleasure to communicate with and I will certainly not hesitate to book this property again in the future. I spent countless hours researching the region for properties, and Derrywater House was most definitely a top choice. Highly recommended for the communication alone.
