Set in the heart of rural Ireland, Bluebell Cottage dates from the 1880's. Recently refurbished to an extremely high standard, it includes all modern conveniences in a charming country cottage setting. A perfect and peaceful spot to relax and take in the lovely views, hear the birdsong and watch the cattle, sheep & rabbits in the fields. Or hit the road and reach many of Ireland's major tourist destinations in convenient day trips, and return to your haven of tranquility at the end of the day.

Highly recommend
Really nice house which is well furnished, good bathrooms, underfloor heating and with all the kitchens amenities you need. Owners were helpful answering questions ahead of our stay and kindly provided complimentary bread, butter, coffee, etc. A really nice place to relax with a fire and to take in the views.

Perfect Irish Country Cottage
Bluebell cottage was an amazing place to stay. It was our favorite place of our trip to Ireland. The cottage itself had all the comforts you want in a vacation place while maintaining old world charm. The gardens and views were amazing. A little off the beaten path but well worth it.

Postcard picture perfect Ireland home!
Bluebell cottage is truly a home away from home. You will know you’re in Ireland by the beautiful green fields surrounding the home right outside your back patio. Every last detail has been taken care of, from the pristine care of the inside, to the flowers around the outside, with all the most up to date amenities including beautifully decorated bedrooms (we slept in the beds were so comfy!), modern bathrooms and a kitchen to die for. I just renovated my own kitchen and I want this one!! Gordon and Mary have thought of everything to make your stay memorable and are truly gracious hosts. There are lots of pamphlets to help you discover Ireland and they even offer suggestions for restaurants and pubs. They definitely raised the bar high for other places we stayed! My family and I can’t wait to come back and stay longer.

Das Cottage ist traumhaft schön. Es bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Alles ist vorhanden. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Das war der schönste Urlaub, den ich je erlebt habe. Amazing!

Absolute perfection.
The Bluebell Cottage is sincerely a little slice of perfection. Beautiful views of the Irish countryside greet you from every window, and if you're lucky, the odd cow may even pop up! The cottage is a splendid mix of rustic and modern - the entire house is set up with modern appliances and internet, yet Mary and Gordon have made sure to leave plenty of true Irish country charm (ask about the wallpaper!). The location is ideal, with villages near enough and some of Ireland's best attractions within reasonable distance. My favourite part was by far the garden (complete with fairy doors!) that Gordon has put so much work into. Mary and Gordon so graciously welcomed me into their home and are the loveliest hosts. They both have a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the local area, and the cottage itself is well-stocked with brochures for every sight imaginable in Ireland. Mary and Gordon even took me out to the local pub on Thursday night where live music is played and it is an absolute must. In fact, I'd sincerely recommend planning your stay around a Thursday night. It's clear to see how much hard work has gone into making the Bluebell the perfect escape from the busy city life, and Gordon and Mary have most definitely succeeded. A must stay!!

Ireland's hidden treasure
Wow! The only thing that comes to mind is PERFECT; all the way from the cottage to the hospitality. My family's stay at Bluebell Cottage was simply wonderful! Mary and Gordon are fabulous hosts, and they make you feel comfortable and welcome. They were very accommodating and gracious. Gordon even provided us with valuable information about Google maps which was most beneficial. As for the cottage, it's absolutely beautiful. It has everything you need: a big modern kitchen, high tech gadgets, comfortable beds, a large dinner table, a cozy family room, books, family games, information about the area, and an outdoor seating area where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. It is evident that Mary and Gordon put much thought and consideration in ensuring their guests would have everything they need to feel at home. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous Cottage!!
Bluebell Cottage is a beautifully restored cottage in the picturesque Tipperary countryside. It has been finished throughout to a very high standard & has everything you need for a truly enjoyable stay. Gordon & Mary are fabulous hosts & extremely helpful. We loved the little extras....fresh flowers & locally produced treats! Highly recommended.

A Treasure!
If ever a book were to be written on hospitality and providing guest accommodations, Mary and Gordon could write it. The Bluebell Cottage is perfect in every way. The idyllic setting, adorable furnishings, immaculate cleanliness, kind and helpful hosts, central location for day trips, attention to every detail, and warm, delicious welcome exceeded even our highest expectations. We only wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights! Our family's first impression of Ireland was absolutely magical thanks to our time here. This place is not just a place to sleep, it is a treasure!

Loved this place
I can’t say enough about this house or the owners. Mary and Gordon promptly answered all of our questions before we arrived. Gordon was there when we checked in, and not only gave us a tour but offered all sorts of suggestions about places to visit and to eat. (If you’re there on a Thursday, do not miss the party at Jim o’ the Mills pub; it was the highlight of our visit and we only knew about it because of our hosts.) The house is charming and modern, and the view from the back patio is stunning, no matter the weather. We also found the location to be suitable for day trips to Dublin, Waterford, Galway and the Aran Islands.
