The house is located on Lough Derg between meadows, moor and woods, far from other tourists. Large bay windows allow a wonderful view of the sea, where our motorboat is moored. The living area is divided up into a large living room and a dining room with fireplace. Extra cots and inflatable mattresses are available if needed. Boat can be rented additionally but is not included in the standard rent: 180€/1 week, 280€/2 weeks, 350€/3weeks, to be paid separately. Further Details: Centrally located for trips in the west and in the middle of Ireland, Suitability: children welcome, but beware of the lake bordering our property! Perfect
Perfect. A very well equipped house set in beautiful surroundings. If you want peace and an abundance of wildlife then it's ideal. The garden is managed with diversity in mind and we saw a badger, deer, fox and an abundance of birds. An ideal location for visiting historic sites. Birr Castle Portumna workhouse Clonmacoise Ailwee caves Doolin The garden goes down to the lough and you can hire the owners boat.

About the neighbourhood
Spa House is located between a bog, a forest and Lough Derg. The region is very rural with the next neighbour c. 1.5km and the colsest village c. 9km away. Right beside the propoerty in the lake is a defunct old spa which was used by local people to cure diseaeses with water properties close to the spa in Lisdoonvarna. Hence the name 'Spa House' by which the locals used to call trhe house.

Drive fro Shannon Airport to Sixmilebridge and Broadford. Take R352 direction Portumna and turn right at Looscaun church. Follow direction we will send to you. Coming from Dublin or Dun Laoghaire take M4/M6 direction Galway and leave the motorway in Ballinasloe West R355 to Portumna and then R352 direction Scariff. Turn left at Looscaun church. Follow direction we will send to you.
