Tropicana is a nice complex, the pool is fantastic and never busy. Security is assured and though out of town there are good local amenities. Side is easy enough to reach and well worth a visit. The apartment is very disappointing sadly. The third bedroom is unusable in summer and musty as the air conditioning does not work. Bedding is dirty and tired and looks like they came fro a jumble sale. Faults reported by visitors years ago are ignored and basic safety devices such as smoke detectors are not present. We reported the fact that the kettle did not have a plug fitted on day one and it never got sorted! Furniture stained and with accumulation of dirt, clearly cleanliness is not a priority. Only the pool prevents a one star review. Most disappointing is the fact that the owner seems totally disinterested in all the issues and is in denial about the fact that he is charging a premium for a third bedroom that no one can occupy, despite years of comments from guests complaining. Go to Side, stay in Tropicana avoid G2.

Had a fantastic family holiday in Tropicana g2 apartment. Spacious accommodation with loads of outdoor space. The pool is fabulous had tons of fun great for adults and children alike. Grounds are lovely and very well kept.

Great apartment, fantastic swimming pool
Holidayed with husband, another couple and and their two small children (2 and 4 years). We had a great time, the complex was fantastic and the staff/security friendly and helpful. The pool was probably the best I have ever had although it was a shame the pool bar was closed. The walking time to the seafront was much more than we thought particularly for small children, and maybe how far it is should be made clear on the apartment detail. There was a free bus service a couple of times a day courtesy of Shanty bar (great food, drink and staff) which was useful but then you did need to call in and eat or drink something when you got there. Taxis were 20 Turkish lira each way. A really detailed map would be useful showing all the roads and backroads and exactly what road you come out on from the front of the complex as it took quite a while to work out the best way to get down to the front.
The apartment was really nice with a lovely large porch which overlooked the gardens and pool. The only issue we had was the extra bedroom which was located off the porch was very hot and needed both the aircon and fan on overnight, once I sorted the right settings for this we were fine. There is no way into the apartment from the extra bedroom during the night unless you leave the porch shutters open and door unlocked or you needed to walk all the way round to the front door which you then couldn’t deadlock. I don’t know the answer to this, again maybe should be made clear that there is no direct access through. Had a fab time though and would go back. Booking through Horizons was easy with good communication throughout and no problems. They arranged our taxi to/from airport who on collection from the airport provided us with bottled water and an ice cream each (a big hit with the kids!). Wifi availble in poolbar (even though closed) but had to go and sit over there as did not have access from our apartment/porch. Side is nice although bigger and more spread out than I expected. The tropicana complex is more within the residential areas which are not so well kept and pretty as when you get down the seafront. The complex itself was very well kept.

Relaxing holiday in Side
This is a good property in a smart complex, which from what we could see was better than many other complexes. The apartment is modern, clean and well maintained and the complex has an excellent pool area. The complex is a little way outside the centre of Side, which required a bit of effort at times with shuttle buses and taxis, but on the upside this seemed to make it a bit more quiet than others.
Side is a great little town with many restaurants, good beaches, a bit of history and culture and many choices of day excursions, all at pretty good value rates.
Unfortunately at the time of our visit to this apartment, there were a number of problems with the air conditioning and despite repair the air-con to one of the bedrooms was so poor as to make it unusable. From the visitor book, other visitors seemed to have had the same problem.

Excellent apartment great location
On arrival in Turkey the transfer was smooth and swift. We arrived at the Tropicana G2 apartment it was very clean and tidy and had everything you needed right on hand. The pool was quiet and very clean and on two days we actually had the pool practically to ourselves.
Location was great close to the old town and the drop off and collection service from Shanty beach bar was second to none.
Trips suggested by Richard and his team were great and we highly recommend the white water rafting day.
Great holiday would defiantly book and go again

Wow what a great apartment!
We stayed in the Tropicana G2 and had a fantastic time! Everything was pre arranged and Neil (the owner) was fantastic and was contactable before, during and after the holiday. We were met at Antayla airport and driven to the apartment. Upon arrival we were impressed by the size, cleanliness and facilities in the apartment. It had everything you need. Within the apartment was a detailed welcome pack explaining how everything works and suggestions on restaurants and places to visit which we found very useful. The pools at the Tropicana have to be seen to believed. The area was spotless and we were often the only ones using it! The sun was shining all holoday and we also had several visits to the beach. We look forward to another visit in the future!
Apartment highlights: size, Cleanliness, washing Machine, Dishwasher, fridge Freezer, Microwave, Hairdryer and a very large balcony was an added bonus!

It is not necessary to rent a car and we can arrange Airport Transfers with a licensed private hire Taxi Company. The door to door transfer time is about 50 minutes. Cars can be hired in resort through our local manager on a daily basis from around £25 a day. Parking is available at no charge.
