This house is a heritage listed. Build in 1933 and renovated in 2008. Situated in Gamelan Lor street in the prestigious Kraton area, in the vicinity of the Sultan Palace. It is surrounded by quiet streets with no through traffic. Wake up early then you can hear birds chirping and singing a new day.
The rooms are cool and comfortable with tasteful furnishing and offer air-conditioning and fans to relieve the heat. You can also relax on the front veranda or in private back garden. An Oasis in the busy city.

About the neighbourhood
Gamelan Lor street houses and other residential streets inside the wall of Sultan Palace mostly own by Sultan's family members, their relatives and their nobles. This area has very special rules and one of them is only indigenous Javanese or indigenous Indonesian who can own the property in this area.
The best thing when you stay here is so many interesting place around 2 km, such as: Sultan Palace, Taman Sari Water Castle, Malioboro, fancy bar, souvenirs store, etc

General public transport are taxi, motor taxi (Uber) and becak (pedicap). Visitors/guests have to walk about 100 meters to the main road to get the public transport. Taxi is considered cheap, however the guests can bargain the price prior to go inside the cab or have to make sure about the taxi's meter to avoid drivers wondering around the town. Taxi can be called by phone.
