After breakfast go for a long hike on the many private trails and roads through out the property along the river and creeks, on the various canopy covered limestone mountains on the property, through the 100 acre manicured orchard or through of the three huge tropical plant amazing nursery grows located on the property. For the more adventure seeking hiker the property is surrounded on 3 sides by 1,000 of acres of untouched and protected National Forest Reserve in the Maya Mountains. The Reserve is home to numerous large waterfalls, and wildlife. Take the provided ATV and drive through the orchard and pick you own oranges, grapefruits, and limes to take back to the house and prepare the best glass of juice you have ever had. After a long day hiking and seeing the amazing property take a short stroll through the lush tropical plant nursery to the amazing blue hole swimming hole surrounded by bamboo at the base of the limestone mountain where the natural spring filters out the bottom of the mountain. The property and home is gated and secure with the farm manager and his lovely family living in the home next door. They are available day or night to handle any guest needs. The home is a charming all concrete home that has just been completely updated with all new furnishings. While typically not required, top of the line super quite inverter mini split ac systems were just installed in the bedrooms. Each bedroom and the living room also has brand new flat screen TV with cable. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. A grill and smoker is also provided on the covered bridge for guests to use. The large screened in back porch provides the perfect place to relax, have dinner, and listen to the jungle come alive and the fire flies light up the night sky. While The Orchard House is very private its location on the edge of St. Margarets Village provides easy access to the local grocery store, restaurants and bars in the Village. Being centrally located on the most beautiful section off of the Hummingbird Highway makes getting into Belmopan easy (approximate 20 minute drive). The numerous tourist activities ( cave tubing, zip line, kayaking, waterfall repelling, and Mayan Ruins) are just a few miles in either direction of the front gate. The Orchard House is the perfect private venue for those wanting to get away and enjoy a relaxed non-hotel natural setting. The properties central location 1/2 the way from the Belize International Airport (1.5 hours) to Placencia makes it the perfect spot to enjoy a land and sea vacation and see all that Belize has to offer.
