Rowan Log Cabin is a very comfortable and cosy cabin with wood burning stove. The cabin has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to six people. Comfortable for 5 adults and one child, as one room have bunk beds.

The cabin is situated within Loch Aweside Forest Park by Loch Awe, a stunning location just 100m from shore.

At the rear of the cabin there is a BBQ Fire Pit and outdoor dining table, it backs on to a large playing field.

The cabin has electric central heating / air conditioning, additional electric radiators in downstairs bedrooms and is fully insulated for all year round use.

The accommodation consists of open plan living/dining and kitchen area. Two bedrooms and family bathroom on the ground level.

About the neighbourhood
The Village of Dalavich is only a few minutes walk away and has a licenced shop/post office and café serving delicious meals. Dalavich Community Centre has a bar and restaurant which is owned and run by the local community, large patio overlooking beautiful Loch Awe. The Community Centre is open Thursday to Sunday evenings.

Golf Course is only 30 minutes drive away in Taynuilt where there is also a good butcher serving local produce, grocery store and post office.

Oban, is approx. 25 miles, a 50 minutes drive from Dalavich and offers plenty of shops and restaurants, a lovely seaside town well worth exploring.
Getting around
The closest railway station is in Taynuilt village, 15 miles from Dalavich. There is a bus service between Oban and Dalavich 3 times a day except Sundays.

As Dalavich is a very rural area, it is advisable to get around by car.

Directions from Tyndrum:

Just after The Green Welly Stop on A82 at Tyndrum, turn left onto A85, signposted Oban. Drive through Dalmally and Lochawe villages.

The next village is Taynuilt where you turn left onto B845, signposted Kilchrenan, a 14 miles drive (22 km), approx. 30 minutes on a single track road with passing places, through Kilchrenan and Inverinan.

When you come to Dalavich, turn left into Loch Aweside Forest Park opposite two bungalows.

Turn left again, then right and follow the road down towards the loch. At the bottom the road curves to the right uphill and Rowan (21b) is on your right, white painted stones marking both sides of the drive.
