About the neighbourhood
Set in a fairly remote part of Derbyshire, you will need a car to get here and also to get out an about to visit attractions and or the shops for provisions. There are lovely walks directly from Runner Duck Cottage if you want to stay close to your base. Bakewell, Chatsworth, Eyam and Castleton are all within a short car journey There are a variety of local places to eat. From 'good pub grub', nice bar meals to top quality restaurants, were not far from any.
Getting around
Chatsworth House and Gardens are only a few miles away, then you can move onto Bakewell and beyond. In the other direction there's the old market town of Chesterfield with its famous Crooked Spire.
