Tigh Ban Lek is an imaginatively conceived and individually designed purpose-built house in distinctive Swiss Chalet style, having been built from stone and substantial natural timbers. The design award winning house was built in the late 1990s and has been carefully incorporated into the hillside and oriented entirely to maximise on the island views and seascapes extending over 30 miles to the south and west. This is an extremely comfortable, spacious and sophisticated holiday home. Accommodation is laid out over two floors: an entrance vestibule leads to the reception hall and onto ground floor accommodation of two bedrooms. The ground floor also has an under stairs storage cupboard and WC/utility room. The second bedroom features an ensuite shower room with a large shower cubicle and a power shower. This room has twin beds that can easily be made into a zip-link King size bed. Both bedrooms have French doors out to the garden and take in the stunning views. Both en-suite bathrooms have heated tiled floors. The spacious and bright open plan first floor consists of a neatly fitted and well equipped galley style kitchen, dining room and sitting room with French doors to the large balcony. The furniture comprises a three seater sofa, which can be converted into a full double sofa bed, a two seater sofa and two easy chairs. There is a gas fire in the corner of the living room, a TV with Sky freesat, integrated DVD player and stereo system with MP3 and ipod connection. A selection of books, DVDs, audio cds and games are supplied. Wifi is available and the oak dining table allows for six spacious settings. The kitchen has a good range of quality cookware, basic supplies and is well stocked for children. The gardens are laid out over a number of levels with gently sloping gradients. They feature productive fruit trees, ornamental trees, numerous shrubs and border plants and extensive bulb plantings. Great location and accommodation

The property was great and exceeded our expectations, the views and location was better than expected too. The properties situation allowed us to visit Oban, Mull and in the other direction Campletown and lots of places in between, a thoroughly good holiday.

Beautiful house

Everything you could possibly need supplied to make the stay completely stress free. Even the 2 year old was completely catered for - stair gate, cutlery, games and sheep and squirrels to look at in the garden. We'd definitely visit again.

Tigh Ban Lek is Heaven on Earth

Truly amazing cottage with equally amazing views.

The title says it all. Excellent, a truly amazing house. Loved everything about it. Great value for the money paid. Our hosts were excellent too, welcome pack was a very nice touch also. Will definately return hopefully soon.

Perfect location

We stayed at Tigh Ban Lek for 10 days and it was absolutely phantastic. A house with very clean rooms, full complete equipment, phanstastic viea, very silent and a perfect position at the west coast for trips to the islands and the highlands as well.
