About the neighbourhood
Both bucolic and wild, Cortes Island is an outdoor enthusiast’s wonder. Brilliant by the Bay offers an enticing combination of forest and beach. A path winds through Connie and Colin’s vegetable and flower gardens and orchard, where you can pick and enjoy a fresh apple. The path meets the edge of the lush Siskin Forest, where 4 km of easy-grade trails connect to each other and local roads. A 5-minute walk on a quiet rural road, you’ll arrive at the warm and wonderful Smelt Bay where eagles hunt and herons nest. A 20-minute walk through the forest leads you to the garden at Hollyhock.
