We've just returned from a wonderful family bithday celebration at Grove Barns - Oak and Ash - and I cannot rave enough about the accommodation, location and dog friendliness. Incredible value for money; especially with bedding and heating included. Delightful, well equipped cottages, with little welcoming extras such as complimentary teabags and milk - what a bonus! Our babies were accommodated with the cots and high chairs provided and the whole experience (from booking through to the actual stay) has been smooth and stress free. We enjoyed every single minute of our relaxing, fun filled holiday and I cannot recommend this little gem of a place enough. Thank you to the Grove Barns team for completely nailing it!

This property is approached via a large social housing estate and has views of other social housing estates across the distant and unlovely narrow estuary. It is surrounded by huge electric pylons and not surprisingly is not far from a power station and oil refinery. It is unscreened from the 3 other properties and lacks any privacy.
The pictured sitting room is a cheap construction with no opening windows and a roof made from corrugated plastic that shelters spiders and makes a huge racket when it rains.
The second bathroom is so narrow it is almost impossible to turn around it; it is narrower than the long corridor that connects the bedrooms and has a wash basin so small it is unusable.
The fridge in the kitchen is too small for a family; you have to go to the supermarket every day if you want chilled produce.
The chopping board in the kitchen is an offcut from a granite worktop and is so heavy it could cause serious injury if dropped.
