Ballyskelly Lodge is a self catering property situated on the Black Isle, surrounded by farm land. There are stunning panoramic views of the Cromarty Firth and the Ben Wyvis mountain range. While giving you a peaceful and secluded holiday, it is also within easy reach of Inverness and Dingwall. Our visitors stay for a variety of holidays, ranging from travelling around the North of Scotland (which is all possible as a day trip) to cycling, bird watching, golfing and simply relaxing and taking in the views. For winter breaks the Aviemore ski area is a 1 hour drive away.

Came here for a few days , and it’s just perfect , beautiful scenery, lovely wee village 5 miles away with lovely beach , everything u needed was supplied, give it a go , thanks Susan

The views from the cottage were amazing plus watching the cruise ships and the huge pipe laying ship way down on the Cromarty Forth was an interesting extra. The cottage was very comfortable and very well equipped, with extras more like our own home. Lots...More
We stayed there with 2 teenage kids and had a good time. Cottage was clean and well stocked on essentials. Only issue we had was that the location of the cottage was too far from most key attractions (e.g. Lock Ness / Ben Nevis). So...More

The local attractions in the historic town of Cromarty include the Courthouse, Hugh Miller's home and organised Dolphin boat trips. In nearby Fortrose and Rosemarkie there are extensive beach facilities, a golf course, the peninsular for Dolphin viewing and the Groam House Pictish museum. There are extensive trails in the surrounding forestry land for cycling and walking. Neaby Whisky distilleries include Glen Ord (Muir of Ord), Dalmore (Invergordon) and Glenmorangie (Tain).
