Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Peaceful location and great location for touring
Góilín Cottage was perfect for my husband's and my week's holiday on the Wild Atlantic Way, it was comfortable, it had everything we needed and the host was very helpful and friendly. It's located on a lane leading to a lovely quiet cove which looks out over Liscannor Bay. It's a few km out of Lahinch and is ideally placed for visiting scenic locations around the county - we enjoyed visiting Kilkee, Kilrush, beautiful Scattery Island, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Ailwee Caves, Bunratty and the lovely towns Lahinch, Enistymon and Ennis. Would recommend booking Vaughan's of Liscannor and the Atlantic Hotel in Lahinch for dinner! Ideal cottage for a couple or a group of three.

perfect for a small family
Super gemütlich und alles vorhanden, was man braucht. It's super cozy and well equipped. Our landlords were really nice & helpful and super flexible with late arrival and early depature. There's a great beach nearby, which is definitily worth seeing. First it was stony, but after one flood we were surprised by a sandy beach. ;-) Thanks to Emily and Senan for a fantastic holiday! =)

Lovely Cottage in West Clare
It is a very nice holiday home just a few meters from the sea. To spend nice holidays is no problem at all. We had very nice landlord who really did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The house was very lovingly decorated and you felt right there very well. Everything needed for a nice holiday was available here. If it turns out we would like to come back. Thanks for everything ... Stefan and Tina

Great place to stay for a few days on the West Clare coast.
Had a superb time at Goilin cottage recently (Mon - Sat). Cottage is small but accomodates a couple and single. (We were husband and wife plus adult daughter). Cottage clean and tidy and the owners very friendly and welcoming (they live approx 100m down the lane). Cottage sits with a few others down a quiet lane approx 5km from Lahinch, 6km from Miltown Malbay (so you need a car). Not a lot of living accomodation but all there that is needed when you expect to out most of the day. Electricity for cooking and heating is charged extra as is Wifi but reasonable. An open fire in the living/dining/kitchen area burns peat briquettes. Overall good value. Beautiful bay view from just outside with Liscannor bay just 200 yds down the lane.

Lovely cottage, perfect location, friendly owners
This was our home during our week in Clare county, perfectly located for day tours to Cliffs of Moher, The Burren, Loop Head and Bunratty. The cottage is really charming, well equipped (although we could not find a proper form to make casserole one night) and well maintained. It was really everything that we had hoped for and had expected (except that the internet was down our entire stay due to external reasons); the beds were very comfortable, the shower had instance heating and the fire place was charming. Our toddler seemed to also enjoy the neighbor bulls just across the street The owners are really helpful and friendly and could give us plenty of tips for activities. I would definitely recommend this cottage and would love to come back someday.

Its a good location to start trips to the beautiful area like the Cliffs of Moher, the Loop Head, the Burren or the Aran Islands. If you are looking for a place to escape from stress and every day life we can definitly recommand it.

Beautiful cottage, lovely scenery & wonderful hospitality
Emily & Senan very very friendly & attentive, beautiful cottage with charming open fire place, suitable for famlies with children. Little beach nearby almost private and stunning. Lahinch beach, Miltown Malbay (supermarket), Spanisch Point, Quilty, Kilkee to Loop Head - The Burren (Kilfenora, Mullaghmore, Poulnabrone, Caves) or Cliffs of Moher... wonderful - we'll love to come back!
