CASHEN LODGE is a detached holiday cottage found near a tiny fishing village on the River Cashen. This gem was recently sympathetically renovated, retaining many of the features of an old Irish cottage and is spacious and comfortable with 2 living rooms. Less than a mile from Cashen Quay ,1.5 miles to Ballyduff village, 3 miles to the local beach at Kilmore, 5 miles to the glorious sands of Ballybunnion famous for it's watersports & Surfing School, and 11 miles to the one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland - Banna Strand. Activities available in the area include cliff and hill walks, horse riding, bird watching, surfing, seaweed baths, shore and sea fishing and of course golfing at the 2 world-renowned Ballybunnion golf courses. Utility room. 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with wooden floors. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle and toilet. Steep stairs to first floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, (one with en-suite bathroom with shower over bath), 1 twin, all with sloping ceilings and wooden floors. Shower room with toilet. We had a wonderful week! There was nothing this cottage lacked! Mary was the perfect host making sure that we had everything we would need for our holiday! Our ages ranged from 5 to 79 and the cottage suited us all! Definitely will be back!!

The house was amazing big and spacious more than enough room, two living rooms with real fires and big kitchen. mary was an amazing host... the little touches made all the difference like the welcome pack of pastries, bread, milk etc Beautiful part of Ireland...More

Cliff walks, horse riding, surfing golfing and fishing are all available close by. Indoor swimming pool in Ballybunion and the AquaDome in Tralee for these wet days. And did I mention the beaches for the sunshine days, Ballybunion, Banna, Ballyheigue and if you need a little pampering go for a seaweed bath at Collins Seaweed Baths on Ladies Beach ballybunion. Or just sit on the private patio, with a glass of wine and listen to the birds sing and RELAX
How to get there
It is 40 minutes from Kerry Airport, 1 1/2 hours from Shannon Airport 2 hours from Cork Airport It is 2 hours from Cork Ferry & 4 hours from Rosslare Ferry A car is essential to enjoy you time in North Kerry. If you are coming from Shannon Airport Pick up the N69 road and travel down the Shannon Estuary, and if you have time stop off in Foynes Flying Boat Museum
