House Rental
Stunning cottage located 1 mile from Inniskeen, 7 miles from Carrickmacross and 8 miles from bustling Dundalk. Tastefully furnished to a very high standard this is a couples haven also a fishermans paradise with the owner providing a secure store for equiptment and gear and a spacoius area for trailers and boats. An ideal location to get away from it all with cycling and long country walks on your doorstep. For families travelling together or larger parties.
Fishing is also a great attraction of this area and the River Fane runs through the village of Inniskeen. There are also many lakes and smaller rivers in the local area. On most of the lakes there are fishing platforms that the Northern Fisheries Board have developed.

A lovely little cottage full of character and charm.
My wife found and booked this lovely little cottage with the view of us using it as a base for exploring both Northern Ireland and R.o.I
The Good:
* Very modern and tidy.
* Generally in good condition inside and out.
* Full of character and charm :)
* Kitted out with all the bits you would need (toilet rolls, kitchen towel, dishwasher tabs etc
* Full of amenities - dishwasher, Wi-Fi, Everything you could need to self cater!
* lovely location (with Caveats - Please see further below)
* The lady who is the point of contact for the holiday let is very polite and friendly.
* Dog friendly - which is super cool :)
The Not So Good
* Not a complaint as wife tells me advertised as such, but be aware: a car is ESSENTIAL- no shops or anything nearby so be prepared to travel 15-20 mins for anything of substance (chips shop, groceries etc)
* The road approaching the cottage is very much single track both north and south of the location - anyone who is a nervous driver needs to bear this in mind as you will need your wits about you and plenty of horn honking to let anyone coming the other way know your on the road. There are passing spots but there may be some reversing required should you meet someone oncoming.
* The sofa in the cottage is possibly the only bit of furnishing that lets the place down in any way - it has seen better days and is a little uncomfortable because of it.
Overall we had a fab time and i feel we got excellent value for money
* Business directly behind (in front) of the cottage was working untill gone 21:00 hours - not unreasonable in the grand scheme of things but at odds with otherwise peaceful and ideallic nature of the cottage.

Lovely stay
3 adults and a teen stayed here with our small dog for two nights and we had a lovely stay. A car is essential as most places to visit are around 25 mins drive away but it is very worth it. Catherina left milk, juice, cookies, and cereal at the house for us too which was very a pleasant surprise

Clean, modern. quiet.
Great cottage, well equipped kitchen and very clean, corn flakes and milk in the fridge on arrival, excellent!! secure parking and very quiet, perfect to unwind. The only possible downside is poor mobile reception but that's a network issue, not the fault of the house!

Sehr schöne und großzügige Ferienwohnung
Die Ferienwohnung bietet einen sehr guten Ausgangspunkt um verschiedene Sehenswürdigkeiten in Irland (z.B. Newgrange, Dublin) und Nordirland (z.B. Belfast) anzusehen. Sie liegt auf dem Land, ist sehr sauber und hat alles an Einrichtung, was man sich vorstellen kann. Zwei schöne Schlafzimmer, ein Wohnzimmer und eine voll ausgestattete Küche. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es war sogar extra Milch und Saft im Kühlschrank. Nebenan ist eine kleine Firma, die durch eine Mauer abgetrennt ist. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Abgeschiedene, modern eingerichtete Ferienwohnung, ideal wenn man Dublin und Belfast besuchen möchte, und gleichzeitig eine interessante Landschaft vor der Tür liegen hat.

Fantastic place
Excellent place to stay, host was very helpful and friendly. We enquired about a taxi to Dundalk, instead of giving us a number she came and picked us up and drove us in and wouldn’t accept any money. Definitely would recommend this place for a quiet getaway, the cottage is lovely, clean and tidy.

Pleasant, resourceful, helpful and hardworking owner Catheriona.
Unit is modern, very well equipped, clean, and comfortable with parking. Well located for daily excursions.
Our stay included 2 nights. Received very well prepared information about potential attractions.
Happy thoughts about owner as well as living experience.
Recommend this unit as very high.

Great stay at Pat and Kate’s
Fantastic stay at Pat and Kate’s over the month of December 2018. Clean, warm, well kept, cosy house for our stay at home in Ireland. Kate is a very pleasant lady and couldn’t do enough for us. Sincere thanks for all she done to make our stay comfortable, Christmas decorations and all. Provided a cot for our 1 year old boy too which was the icing on the cake. Located off the Carrickmacross Dundalk road, it was a convenient location for us. Couldn’t recommend the place enough and will definitely stay again when we return to Ireland. If you are traveling in Ireland definitely consider Pat and Kate’s
