Bathroom 2 with WC, wash hand basin and double shower. This house to rent in Glengarriff is central heated and contains a fully equipped Utility room. Rear of house opens out to large decking c/w garden furniture . Pets are welcome but by arrangement only.
There is an extra charge for electricity and oil heating (if required) - the metres is read on arrival and again on departure.
The house is located 130 metres off main road (up a hill) on the village side of the Eccles hotel.

We had a fantastic week and Imelda made us feel really welcome.
House was spotless and had everything we needed.
Great location, quick walk into Glengarriff and handy spot to travel from for days out.

Great house, great host
We stayed for a week in Glengarriff at the end of April. Imelda’s guest house is large, comfortable and modern. It heats up quickly on cold evenings and stays warm. Having said that we were surprised at the cost of the utilities (additional charge) but fuel prices have gone mad. The house is well equipped and Imelda left a nice welcome parcel. The house is well located to walk to Glengarriff and to explore the Beara Peninsula.

Lovely Christmas stay.
Our family group of four (plus dog) spent Christmas of 2021 here at Island View.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Imelda had put up a large decorated Christmas tree for us before we arrived. The house is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed with regards to pots and pans, kitchen utenils etc for our Christmas dinner.
The house itself and bedrooms were very warm and cosy with comfortable beds. Glengarriff is a lovely spot in either Winter or Summer and and this house is an ideal location for trips around West Cork and into Kerry. The views from the bedrooms out towards Garinish Island were stunning, especially to wake up to in the mornings. We found Island View very good value for money and we hope maybe to return again at some stage in the future.

Gorgeous house
We stayed here in December with a group. The house is lovely, big, very comfortable and very clean. Walking distance to the village and with great views! Will come back in summer. Imelda is a pleasure to deal with.

Spotlessly clean, spacious modern house - Very convenient to village
We had a lovely stay in this modern house. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival, board games and lots of hot water. There is a spacious sunny deck to the rear and amazing views from the top floor. Very convenient to the village.
The owner Imelda was very helpful with her time and information. We hope to return to Island View Holiday Home.

Very steep incline to the house - not suitable for mobility disabilities
The house was fabulous, clean and spacious. There was everything there that was needed and a lovely welcome basket on arrival.
It is situated in an ideal location for visiting Cork and Kerry.
On the downside: The information notes that it is only a 5-minute walk from Glengarriff village, however, it should be noted that the house is situated at the top of a very very steep hill. One of our party members was recovering from heart surgery and was unable to manage the hill to or from the house, resulting in us having to take our vehicle every time we went out. This really needs to be added to the home page as we had booked the house based on the description of the walking proximity to the town.
Despite this setback, we had a wonderful holiday.

Thank you for your recent review of Island View holiday home. We are glad ye were happy with our house, the facilities, the size and the welcome basket etc. along with its prime location for visiting the greater Cork & Kerry area. As you know West Cork & Kerry are renowned for being a mountainous area and Glengarriff itself is positioned at sea level at the base of the Caha mountain range therefore the majority of properties in this area are located on hillsides. Island View holiday home is as advertised as approx. 5 minutes' walk to pubs/restaurants/boats to Garinish Island and is located 130 metres up a hill on the village side of the Eccles hotel - We don't advertise that our property is suitable for guests with mobility issues, particularly as the access to the house itself involves some steps, we would never try to mislead anyone in this regard. Often at booking stage we are made aware of guests with mobility problems and we advise them that there are steps to the property and this is a mountainous area so may not be suitable for everyone. Your review suggests that overall you were happy and as we do value all our customers and their opinions we will genuinely take on board your advice and review our home page & website and the wording involved. We thank you again for your feedback and wish your friend a very speedy recovery.

Great stay
Imelda's house is beautiful, so spacious and clean. It has everything you could possibly need in it. We had a fantastic stay there and would highly recommend it. A short walk into the village, Glengarriff and west Cork are beautiful for visiting.

Great Holiday
Great house. Well equipped and fantastic location.
Imelda was extremely helpful. Fresh flowers and a food hamper to the welcome us!
House was spotlessly clean and prepared for covid restrictions.

Spacious, bright comfortable house
We had a great week staying at Island View which is a beautiful, spacious house that's spotlessly clean with wonderful views from the bedrooms over the bay and also has great Wi-Fi. Imelda, the friendly, helpful owner, welcomed us and showed us around. As she lives next door, she's always on hand if you need her. The house had lots of room for the four of us and we also enjoyed sitting on the deck when the sun shone.
The location is perfect – just a few minutes walk from the village of Glengarriff, the harbour (for boats to beautiful Garnish Island) and the Blue Pool. Outdoor dining at Casey's is recommended but do book in advance.It is just a few minutes drive from Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve – great walking in both fine and wet weather (which just swells the rivers and waterfall). We also enjoyed outings to Bantry (20 mins drive) and Gouagane Barra (40 mins).

Lovely clean spacious and well equipped house with stunning upstairs views and a great hotel and bar just 5 mins walk
Pros: good parking, 4 decent comfortable bedrooms, 3 toilets and bathrooms, clean, very well equipped (even had a garlic crusher!), friendly owner just a minute away who responded very quickly to requests, stunning views from bedrooms, big decking area outside, 5 mins walk to the lovely Eccles hotel, 12 mins to Glengarriff bars shops restaurants, and pivotal location for touring the Beira and other peninsulas
Cons: it’s a steep uphill from the Eccles hotel if you are walking! Otherwise no problems
