What more could you ask for?
It's honestly hard to sum up how wondering a place this is. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you are entering your own little world. The gardens and surrounds are so picturesque, with the sea at your doorstep. The house is so warm and welcoming, and even with a large group we had so much space, with the rooms well spread out so that you don't all feel on top of each other. The kitchen was so large and spacious, it made it easy to cook for and feed all 12 of us, and it was so nice to all be able to sit around the one table. We were provided so much great advice on what to do in the area, and even though the weather wasn't the best, it was the depths of winter after all, we had so much to keep us entertained. It was so nice to cozy up by the fire, or relax in the hot tub. We loved it so much we expect to make a return trip, maybe even many.

Stunning - a perfect stay
I booked Westerly with a group of close friends to celebrate a roundy birthday. We had an absolutely beautiful stay in this gorgeous, spacious house - it had everything we needed and it accommodated 10 of us in real comfort (better than any hotel!). We loved the hot tub in the garden (particularly special under the stars) and the beautiful views of the bay from the living room. We had a really special, memorable stay - all i could have hoped for and more. We stayed in November with some choice weather and really enjoyed cosying up by the open fire but I can imagine it would be even more beautiful in the summer when we could enjoy the garden. I never wanted to leave - highly recommend!

Great place & great host
Marie and Annette are fabulous hosts and Westerly House is a great place to stay.
The house is just like the picture's, is very clean and easy to get to.
I would recommend as a place to stay and we will hopefully stay again.

Amazing house and gardens. We are a family group from UK and Singapore celebrating my 70th birthday ages ranging 7 to 75. The grandchildren loved the kayaks and being able to swim from the jetty and catching crabs. The house is big enough to enjoy our own space to sit and read or just look at the view and we were blessed with a week of glorious weather. Beautiful part of West Cork which’s I would highly recommend .

Fantastic location, especially well shown off by the brilliant weather we had for a whole week!
The house is very comfortable and easily accommodated our multiple couples with small children. Great outdoor space and the waterfront is a real bonus. Great for kayaking, SUP and crabbing for small children (require supervision always!). There are also superb beaches and coves within a short drive. We mostly self-catered but Seaview hotel opposite is good for eating out and Manning's for morning coffee. Highly commended rental.

Westerly House is a unique property and it carries...
Westerly House is a unique property and it carries a price to go with that. However for most people, including us, this provides you with a once in a life experience, the memories of which will remain with you for a very long time. My extended family, including grand and great grand children, had the most amazing time in this natural wonderland of a home in Ballylickey West Cork.
Eating, drinking, swimming, kayaking, hot tubbing, with enough space to allow everyone peace and privacy when required, this was a holiday heaven, best summed up by one of my great grand children, who blurted out - this is the 2nd best holiday I ever had -. When I asked Jamie what was the first, he replied - Disneyland Paris -.
There was one major disappointment. One day after we left, a pod of whales appeared in Ballylickey Bay and put on a breaching display. How beautiful it would have been to sit with a glass of wine on the jetty at the end of the garden in Westerly House and watch the whales having their fun!!!

Beautiful house with direct sea access
We have stayed in Westerly for 4 years in a row and always enjoy our stay. The location is fantastic, it is a beautiful house with direct sea access. There are a number of large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. I do think after a number of years of vacation rental that a bit of wear and tear is starting to show and a bit of money needs to be spent generally but particularly on the garden furniture and the sofa in the TV room being replaced. Saying that we are returning next year and always enjoy our stay.
