Vacation in a holiday home on Valentia Island in County Kerry in the Southwest of Ireland - Rustic and cozy Ballyhearny Cottage (3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each) in an absolutely quiet location on the Ring of Kerry. Interaction with guests:Â Our traditional two storey country house for up to six people is located in a peaceful and quiet setting near Chapeltown and the Portmagee Channel. It is a self-catering and no smoking accommodation with free wireless internet access and free German satellite TV channels.
Ground Floor: Kitchen with oven, grill, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, cuttlery, table ware.
Dining area, view towards the Portmagee Channel. Comfortable living room with 39" smart tv (only German channels), CD player/radio, toilet.
First Floor: 3 bedrooms with two single beds in each room, 2 bathrooms with shower and toilet.

Loved this holiday. Wonderful house in a great location
Such a wonderful place to stay. The house was excellent and we had a great stay. Siegy and Bili were very friendly and accommodating.
Short walk to local pub and to sea. Great location to see everything on Valentia and around Kerry.

Der perfekte Spot um mal abzuschalten
Wir haben mit unserer Familie zwei super schöne Urlaubswochen im Cottage verbracht.
Das Haus lädt zum entspannen ein. Wir haben uns alle sehr gut erholt.
Siegy und Billi haben uns super nett empfangen so dass unser Urlaub direkt entspannt starten konnte.
Abends bei nem Gläschen Wein hinten im Garten konnten wir schön die Ruhe genießen.
Wir freuen uns schon wieder auf unseren nächsten Urlaub im Cottage.

A car is necessary to get around. Transport for Ireland provides a bus connection from Valentia Island to Cahersiveen where you can hop on a bus to Killarney or Kenmare.

Valentia Island is accessible via a bridge in Portmagee or by ferry from Reenard Point to Knightstown (ferry crossing takes 5 minutes, continuous shuttle ferry operating from April to October.
Nearest airport is Kerry Airport in Farranfore (82 km) which provides connections to Dublin, London, Mancester, Frankfurt-Hahn, Faro, Alicante and Brittany.
Cork airport is about 170 km away, providing connections to many airports in the EU incl. Amsterdam, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Liverpool, Manchester, London, Paris, Zurich and more.
Shannon airport is about 200 km away and connects Ireland to EU countries and the US like Chicago, Boston and New York.
