With one of the best views in Ireland our comfortable cottage is ideal for families, close to sheltered and unspoilt Glanleam beach. Valentia is connected to the mainland of County Kerry by a bridge and a ferry service. You can take a boat trip to the Skellig Islands from Valentia or Portmagee - a must for Star Wars film fans and those wishing to experience a unique Unesco World Heritage site. The cottage which is over 200 years old is privately owned and is one of a pair that were originally part of the Knight of Kerry's Glanleam Estate. Total Relaxation

Gort Gower is a beautiful, peacefull haven on the island of Valentia. We had lovely weather for the time of year and the views from the cottage are stunning. Would highly recommend for a 'get away from it all' holiday.

Situated in the beautiful south west corner of County Kerry, Valentia Island has been a popular location for holidaymakers for many years. The island lies within the gulf stream and consequently the climate is mild throughout the year. Valentia is linked to the mainland by the bridge at Portmagee and by a small roll-on roll-off ferry that runs continuously during high season and links Knightstown on Valentia to Cahirciveen.
