Cottage Mary Rose is a beautiful 18th century, white-washed, thatched roof cottage. One of Ireland's few remaining, it is what you dream of when thinking of Ireland. Nestled in a valley with a stream running through the peaceful cottage garden. We boast an all natural garden. It is surrounded by its original dry stone walls and fuchsia. You are welcomed by the bright red double door. As you enter, you get the feeling that you have stepped back in time. With its stone fireplace and high lofted ceilings in the sitting room it is a great room for conversation and games. Antiques fill the cottage with traditional and comfortable furniture as well. It is amazing to think of what this cottage has survived. We spent two weeks in two different cottages - the perfection of the first in terms of setting, equipment, comfort and cleanliness (Drombeg near Ardgroom) maybe highlighted the faults of the second (MaryRose cottage). There is no doubt that MaryRose cottage is picturesque and charming....More
