The house is very modern and has all the amenities for a large family. We had a few issues when we arrived due to not knowing how to put the heat on and also the stove. Angela’s daughter was there immediately and Angela showed up later. Great service.
The dining room and kitchen accommodated 21people. Nice linens and napkin rings make for a pretty setting.
We used Anne Loyd for 2 dinners and she is excellent and had all the pots and pans at the house to make an excellent dinner.
Towels and bedding very comfortable. A great way to vacation.

Luxe Living Near Adare
We spent three nights here and are pleased to let you know the house is as described. About a 10 minute taxi ride to town (use John Carey-get the number from Angela). Lots of space for a big family or a number of couples (downstairs bedroom is lovely but no ensuite bathroom). Kitchen is well stocked with cooking implements and the fireplace draws like a top (get more wood from the Centra in Adare).
Angela is easy to communicate with, check-in was simple.
We recommend the pub Pat Collins bar and thought Aunty Lena's food better than the Arches. Also had good food at Mustard Seed. Fancy. Take the River Walk from the Church across from Adare Castle (instead of taking the first road immediately back to town, you can go on as far as you like by just crossing the fence and following the river). Knockfierna was a good walk; you can see famine dwellings and get a great view of the Valley from the hilltop cross. Wish we could have walked over to the Thatched Bar but they were only open Friday-Sunday when we were there.
This is a wonderful base if you want to wee the sights wander around Adare.
You will not be disappointed!

The Perfect Place to Stay!
My family and I could not have been more pleased with the accommodations provided from the Fanningstown House just 5 minuts outside of Adare. The house is very large, beautifully furnished, and everything felt very clean! There were helpful instructions wherever you needed them, and the owner Angela was extremely quick to respond to me when I had a question. Also, she left us fresh food to start out with, including eggs, milk, rashers, sausage, blood pudding, bread, and lots of fruit! It was helpful to not have to go out at night to purchase food for breakfast after just arriving. So very thoughtful!! Also, the cows came and grazed through the back property every evening which was such a treat!
Adare has always been my favorite area of Southwest Ireland…. It’s about an hour and 15 minutes to 3 of my favorite places… north to the Cliffs of Moher, southwest to Killarney, and south to Cork.
It was a pleasure staying at The Fanningstown House!!

Perfect Weekend!
We recently stayed in this beautiful home and had a lovely stay.
Very spacious and spotless clean. Could easily accommodate a large group very comfortably.
There’s a lovely homely atmosphere here and the living room is so cosy with the fire lighting. Angela very kindly left logs/coal for us.
Excellent peaceful location, and just a short drive to Adare.
I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone!

Just the best vacation rental we have ever made! Lovely home and perfect location.
Our family of 5 had the extreme pleasure of staying for a week with Angela in her beautiful home. The location was ideal for the day trips we made all over the western coast and just a very short drive into the lovely town of Adare where we had great dinners and enjoyed the music available every night in different pubs.
Enough for the perfect location. The house is breathtaking! Once you enter the gates and drive up to the house, you see a most impressive home sitting amongst manicured grounds. Angela's husband John was waiting to welcome us and explain the workings of the house. You enter the home and are greeted by a massive staircase in the large foyer. Once you take it in and close you mouth you look to your left at a very comfortable sitting room with adjoining sun room and to your right a very large dining room that is behind french doors. Past the foyer is a very large kitchen that is equipped with everything needed if you were to dine in or host a dinner party in the beautiful dinning room. Angela had left the fridge full of everything we would need for making a few breakfasts. There was even a very large bowl of fruit on the island and even fresh flowers on the kitchen table. Connected to the kitchen you'll find a washer and dryer which was very much appreciated. There is also downstairs bathroom there. We then ventured upstairs and picked the bedroom we wanted. It was so nice that we all had our own bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the showers had blissfully strong water pressure and plenty of hot water.
All of the house was immaculate. We did need to use some heat at night but the additional cost for it was extremely reasonable.
This was by far the best vacation rental we have ever made and I whole heartedly recommend it if you ever venture to this part of Ireland.

Most beautiful home we have ever rented!
I don’t know where to start - the warm and accommodating owners, beautiful town setting, or fabulous home and luxurious furnishings. The lovely Angela met our family upon arrival and had generously stocked the refrigerator with breakfast essentials, for which we were so grateful. The home is huge and amazing- spotlessly clean and located in a quiet street near Adare Centre. Grandkids were thrilled to see cows out the window! All beds and linens were 5 star luxury. The long country kitchen table accommodated everyone for meals. Our last late night doing laundry, a fuse blew and within 5 minutes John arrived to sort it out, all with a kind smile and chat. Cannot rave about this property enough! Adare is within a 5 minute drive from the home, or 15 pound taxi ride if you want to enjoy the fun bars safely! Would love to return here again!
