It’s in a lovely quiet position with good views from the garden and upstairs windows. Lots of rabbits in the adjoining field and a group of Roe deer visiting each evening to graze.
I suppose it could be considered a little dated in style and decor, but we had no complaints. We used both bedrooms and were both comfortable. The smaller bedroom would benefit from a bedside light. The shower over the bath has no headroom, but is easily adjustable.
Good value for money, suitable for a quiet pair of companions such as ourselves, but probably not for a party!

We originally chose this property as it said 0.1 f...
We originally chose this property as it said 0.1 from town so assumed it was right in the town. It’s actually a 20 minute walk (with kids) partially along a pretty fast road with no pavement, so just factor that in when booking. We still had a wonderful stay as the countryside around the cottage is beautiful as are the views from the cottage itself. Kenmare is gorgeous and we enjoyed horse riding locally. Just beware of the kettle - the top pops up when it boils!

We spent 5 nights in this nice house very quiet, near Kenmare. The weather was not very nice but we had a very good time in the house. The garden with all the rabbits and deers feeled the children with joy!

We really enjoyed staying here. It was tricky finding the house, but following directions will help. The road going in is very narrow, so use caution coming around the curves. The house was charming. There are sheep in the back yard that came up to greet us when we walked to the fence. I'm sure they were hoping for food, but we liked to believe they were just welcoming us. Kenmare is a lovely town and a good location to travel to other locations to visit. Truly enjoyed our stay.

We were very pleased with this Irish cottage. It was very comfortable and very well equipped and it made our stay very agreeable.
Kenmare is located a few km away and has everything one needs, amenities, restaurants, cafes as well as departure points for walking tours.
I definitely recommend it for adults as well as for families with children. Thank you very much for sharing your home with us.

Heel handige uitvalbasis om de regio te verkennen. Kenmare is een fijn dorp waar je alles kan vinden wat je nodig hebt.
Het huis is prima. Wij vonden het erg prettig dat het net buiten het dorp zit, zo zit je in alle rust en konden de kinderen heerlijk buitenspelen. Ook was het genieten van de fazanten, konijnen en een hert.
Het huis zelf is wat verouderd, je stapt zo een paar decennia terug de tijd in. Opzich leuk en niets storends, al kan het huis wel wat onderhoud gebruiken. We hadden hier gevoelsmatig liever niet in de winter gezeten met de kieren bij de deuren.
