Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Perfect house for kids & adults
Spent a week in August during lockdown when bars/restaurants were slowly re-opening. In the end it didn't matter as we had everything in the house. We were 5 adults and 5 kids and never once did anyone complain. The house and garden are a great size, with plenty of sitting areas for large or small groups. The pet dog loved the space also! Kitchen is really well equipped so cooking was always a pleasure. Kids were aged 9 to 15 and loved the playroom with gaming consoles and pool table - it's by far the best playroom I have come across in a holiday rental. Finally the location - 15 min walk to the beautiful beach and similar walk to village meant we didn't even need to use the cars. For a relaxed getaway for families, even in lockdown I can't think of a better place. Mark was a great host and was keen to find out how he could further improve people's experience in future. Super house and super host!

Can’t Recommend Enough
As a group of ten we stayed for one week and were so sorry to leave! This is the most fabulous house with amazing gardens which at times we favored staying in to enjoy rather than take day trips. The location so close to the beautiful Morris Castle Beach and Kilmuckridge Village is a treat and highly recommend Lawlers for food at the beach and Kate’s Kitchen in the village for every meal, coffees etc. Mark was excellent to deal with and could not believe the beautiful bread, jam and apple tart left for our arrival along with an amazing basket of fresh fruit. The decor and design are so enjoyable and the house was spotless throughout. We made good use of the large BBQ and outdoor decking and the kids lived on the trampoline, swings etc. This house is a find and we will definitely be back!

Amazingly comfortable and spacious
Stayed here for a week at Whitsun, and it was really lovely. So spacious with a choice of sitting rooms, stunning views of the sea all around. The bedrooms were huge, beds comfy, great showers. It was lovely for our mixed group, with a couple of young grandchildren, mom and dad and grandparents and son, we all had so much room but could gather in the larger lounge if we wanted. The wrap around garden was lovely, with play equipment for the children, including a large safe trampoline and tree house that they loved. The area is so peaceful, and the local beach was lovely and unspoilt, soft sandy beach, with not many people around at any time. The only thing I could criticize if I had to, is that we could have done with some bin bags being left, more than one tea-towel to use, a few loo rolls and some scales for the kitchen, but this shouldn't put you off, it is a beautiful comfy house in a delightful part of Wexford.

Perfect holiday home!
We stayed at Mark’s beautiful home for two weeks, and it was absolutely perfect! Every small detail was thought of. Great location for exploring the sunny south east, but you can also spent the entire day inside and won’t get board for a second! Even the kids had tons of activities indoors. Play room, huge TV, lego and so much more! The kitchen had everything we could ever wish for, and cooking became a pleasure, not a chore (especially with the great views). There are also great restaurants and delies nearby, that was very useful when we didn’t feel like cooking or had a long day exploring the area. We highly recommend Mark’s home! It’s flawless in every way and we will definitely return in our next visit to Ireland!

About the neighbourhood
Kilmuckridge is a village in County Wexford in Ireland near the Irish Sea coast which is popular with weekend visitors and holidaymakers. It lies on the R742 regional road 22 km (14 mi) south of Gorey. The local beaches are the main attraction of the area, and are part of a long stretch of unbroken sandy beach that connects Cahore to Raven Point. This is said to be one of the longest stretches of beach in Europe.Morriscastle, the most famous beach, is popular with swimmers, walkers, horse riders and anglers, and is the focal point for a cluster of holiday home developments, caravan parks and camp sites. It currently holds a prestigious Blue Flag award, granted due to its excellent water quality, safety, well-managed environment and good local services.Other beaches nearby include Ballinoulart, Tinnaberna and Ballynamona, which are generally secluded and less developed. A substantial wind farm is located near Ballinoulart beach. Common fish regularly caught in the area include bass and flounder. The local coast is host to many rare flora and fauna and is part of a national heritage site, Kilmuckridge-Tinnaberna Sandhills. Morriscastle has also been awarded the Green Coast Beaches award.Kilmuckridge contains a number of historical buildings as well as restaurants, guesthouses, pubs, and shops, and the popularity of the village as a tourist resort has encouraged much building and development in recent decades. This was largely fuelled by relatively affordable local property, access to amenities and improvements to the N11 road connecting County Wexford to Dublin. As of late 2014, property values in Kilmuckridge generally remain very competitive.Around 7 km from the village is a famous mansion called Wells House, which has extensive gardens, an animal farm and a children's playground. Archery and falconry are also practised. It was opened to the general public in recent years and is popular with day visitors. It is found on the R741 road, near the small village of Ballyedmond and about 18 km south of Gorey. Wexford town is a further 26 km south.Blackwater Golf Course is located about five kilometres from Kilmuckridge. This 2400-yard Par 3 course is a major attraction for visitors.Other places of note near Kilmuckridge are the historic villages of Blackwater, County Wexford, Curracloe, Boolavogue, Cahore, Ballygarrett and Courtown. On older maps, the village is sometimes referred to by its older name of Ford, or The Ford. The name Kilmuckridge originally referred to a small road junction about 1.5 km from the main village and site of the Church of Ireland church.TransportThe village is located approximately 119 kilometres from central Dublin. The citys southern outskirts can be reached in around one hour by car.Michael Gray runs a daily Mondays to Fridays service between the village and Wexford.Bus Éireann local route 379 serves the village on Mondays and Saturdays only. On Mondays there is a bus at 10.59am to Gorey and at 4.11pm to Wexford. On Saturdays there are buses to Wexford at 12.46pm and 4.52pm. There is also a bus to Gorey at 8.59am.
