Farmhouse
Millknock Farm is a 200 year old farmhouse which is not your standard self-catering holiday cottage. With six bedrooms sleeping up to twelve people in ten separate beds, plus a travel cot for one infant, a kitchen table big enough to seat twelve, and a large garden, it is the perfect place for a group of friends, extended family, or a couple of families to get together for a self-catering holiday. Simply amazing
Such a wonderful stay in a beautiful peaceful location. The house was spotless but notably lived in which provided a homely pleasant feel from first sight. The host Gavin couldn't have been nicer in every possible regard. The extras on offer are second to none and he lives in the same grounds while providing complete privacy and sole enjoyment of the surrounding area. The grounds have a play area with swings and slide and there's plenty of stuff in the shed to play with too. There is a full size kitchen that seats 12 easy and the scones and jam on arrival where eagerly enjoyed by all the weary holiday makers on our trip. There's little left to do on the first evening other than enjoy a cup of tea and a sconce and get some food from the nearby pub / restaurant. The sights and sounds of nature is everywhere and there were fresh black currants on nearly every bush along the road so jam was made too. The beds are comfy and there's immersion for baths and electric showers to suit all tastes. There's seating out the back with lights in the shed. There's a barbeque in the shed to use and also a place to put the waste. The local farmers pass by and are really friendly with big smiles and waves. All in all its a really beautiful peaceful place to get away from it all. It's extremely child friendly and the host could not have been more down to earth and kind. We would definitely book it again as it was excellent value and so much fun.

Great for family holiday
Millknock farmhouse is an ideal house for a large family group, with plenty of space and all the necessary equipment. Our host, Gavin, was very helpful and also provided a detailed information folder, as well as fresh scones and homemade jam. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area, including some lovely beaches nearby.

Mill knock Farm
As a family unit we travelled down to Mill knock Farm for a weeks holiday. The house was spacious and very clean. Everything you needed was available for you.The garden was kept beautifully and the grandchildren loved the secured swings and slide set. Gavin your welcome scones were lovely! After we got home we had left items behind. Gavin went above and beyond what he needed to do to get the items returned to us. His after care was wonderful. I would highly recommend his holiday home to any family thinking of spending time in Wexford. Thank you Gavin for letting us have the holiday home for the week and all the after care.

This is a wonderful home for a family with young children to have a peaceful holiday.
We booked the house as a base for our extended family to stay, while attending a funeral service in the Wexford area . Gavin the host was very attentive to all our needs . A great place for a large family or group of adults to use as a base for a holiday in the Wexford area. There is plenty of room for the children to play and a big barn is available for use on the rainy days . You will need a car if you are planning to stay here as it is not on a bus route but I expect most people have the use of a car while on holiday these days . I wished we could have extended our stay a few extra days and will definitely book it again.

Large, very comfortable modern farmhouse with excellent amenities
I stayed at Millknock Farm with a large group of friends in October 2018. Located in beautiful, rural farmland, the farmhouse was easy to find. The immediate area around the house is very clean and tidy, the owner definitely takes pride in this location. We had a very warm welcome from Gavin, who arrived with a welcoming plate of delicious scones with local-made jam and butter - perfect! The house was absolutely spotless; spick and span. The enormous kitchen is bright, warm and cozy, truly the heart of the house. There’s also a very comfortable sitting room downstairs with fireplace and satellite TV. The house is very cozy, centrally heated. The bedrooms were similarly spotless, very comfortable. The 2 bathrooms upstairs and the one downstairs were also in perfect working order. Tkhis house also has a very large entrance hall, with plenty of seating and a PlayStation games console and TV. We were a group of 9 adults staying for the weekend, and we could not have picked a better location. The beach is close by, as are lots of local sights. There is a nice pub with an Asian street food restaurant and take-away within 500m of the house. We also enjoyed restaurants in near-by Killmore Quay. The nearest convenience store to the house is about 8km away. I loved Millknock Farm - 100% recommended.

All you could ask for and more...
Following our annual photographic weekend away I can highly recommend Millknock Farm for a large group A beautifully renovated 200 year old farmhouse, with a welcome of home-baked scones, home-made jam and a large bowl of home grown fruit. It is spacious, warm, very comfortable and welcoming, right in the heart of a richly bio-diverse, historic landscape, with amazing opportunities for wildlife, landscape & nature photographers. Everything worked and it was spotlessly clean. We had excellent WiFi for multiple streaming and it even has a large space for a big studio setup Gavin (the owner) is totally on the ball and available. It definitely ranks as one of our best experiences of w/e accommodation re. space, comfort, facilities, proximity to flora, fauna, heritage, attractions and the natural features (two lagoons within a couple of km). It has a GREAT kitchen but if you are feeling lazy, there is a fine pub, a lovely restaurant for dining out and excellent Asian Street Food for dining at home within walking distance It's just a few km from the coast, a dawn shoot was no problem either, our subject was right on our doorstep

Fabulous, family friendly house.
When we arrived Millknock Farm was spotlessly clean & the owner, Gavin, had left us a welcome pack with home made scones & jam which were delicious. The house is very spacious with a bright entrance hall/sunroom which was perfect for keeping prams & shoes out of the main house. The kitchen had everything we required & a huge dining table that we all could fit around comfortably. The lounge was also very spacious with 4 comfortable sofas for us to relax on. The beds were all very comfortable & the children loved the bunk beds. 2 shower rooms, a main bathroom & a separate downstairs toilet ensured we had ample wash facilities for our large family. The garden is a fabulous asset to this house & is fully enclosed which was great for the children. We all enjoyed playing & relaxing in it & the children loved the slide & swings. We had lots of days out & about as there was plenty to see & do within 30 - 45 minutes drive of the property & it was a joy to return each evening to our lovely farmhouse. We could not fault this property & would highly recommend it & would love to return sometime in the future.

Excellent Holiday Home
Hello, Let me start with Mr. Gavin, the owner of this property. He is very helpful from the booking towards the end of our stay at Millknock Farm. His response for my messages and queries were very quick and detailed. On the arrival to the house, we were welcomed by Mr. Gavin, who lives in the next building. A detailed introduction were given about the facilities of the houses and about the shops nearby. A tray full of fresh Garden strawberries, Home made Scones and fresh Butter from his own farm were kept on the big dining table for our refreshment. Miliknock farm is a very big house which gave more than enough space for our team of 6 adults and 6 kids. Kitchen is very big. Dining table is big enough for 12 people. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Very big bathrooms and toilets and all places were kept very neat and clean. Towels and quilts were spotless. Information leaflets and a detailed map were provided at the entrance hall and that is a great help to know the main attractions of Wexford and food outlets. The well kept play area on the front side was a paradise to our kids. Strong slings and slide were there for smaller kids. A football post is provided for senior kids and adults. We spend most our daytime there with our kids playing football and other games. More toys were kept in the toy box and you can enjoy the day without worrying kids disturbing you. You may have to spare some 2 euro coins to pay the electricity. But don't worry electricity is very cheap here. 4 nights and 5 days cost us only 9.00 euros. You may take kitchen tissues and toilets tissues with you as the house provides no fill ups. A few more glasses of the same size (for both wine and hot drinks) would have provide great ambiance to the dining table. The nearest grocery shop is 4 km far from the house, but you can find a decent Pub were you can take your family within a walking distance. Thank you Gavin for the farm made fresh lactose and for the farewell pack of strawberries. You are a wonderful host. Our 12 member group found Millknock farm is a wonderful base for exploring Wexford. I will strongly recommend Millknock farm for a peaceful and calm and bit remote holiday yet not too far from a beautiful busy town. Thank you "Holiday Letting company for help us to find such a nice place to spend our holidays regards Cherian Irimpan

Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review, and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I am very sorry that there were not enough glasses for you. I do try to ensure that there are at least 12 of each kind of glass, but I may have miscounted or simply forgotten to leave replacements in the house that week. With a tiled floor in the kitchen glasses are broken regularly and I keep a stock of spares at my own house. I don't charge for replacements, so should you stay with us again please do ask! We do listen to suggestions, and kitchen paper and extra toilet paper are certainly things that we will look into providing next year. Thanks again, Gavin

Perfect for a family get together.
We (12 of us) only stayed for a long weekend, the farm house was just perfect. clean spacious, with quite surroundings. The large kitchen lent itself nicely to the adults eating, drinking and spending quality time together. the living room was an ideal base for the children to play and watch tv , the bedrooms are large enough and with 2 shower rooms, and a bathroom there was no que in the morning.. the beach at Carne is worth a visit, as is Kllmore Quay, Butlers and the lobster pot restaurant. Thank you Gavin for allowing us to stay, just wish it could have been longer.
