Comfort and simplicity = just great
The bedrooms are simple with mattresses of truly good quality and pretty duvet covers etc. The deco throughout is simple and comfortable, and the big, bright kitchen is well-equipped. It’s for six but we were able to cook a meal for nine one day. Our dog, a labrador loved it too. The estate is very well-maintained, convivially planned and safe for kids etc.
If I had to look for a downside, I’d say the trip to the beach from the estate is short but pretty much a no-no on foot due to the a narrow road. No prob by car with ample pay parking. Communication with owner Ken was fast and flawless. We loved the whole thing, including the stack of DVD movies was a top-flight addition for late evening viewing.

Home from Home! :-)
We had a very comfortable stay at Ken's cottage by the sea, even though the weather wasn't great (November) the cottage was warm when we arrived and had the advantage of a great solid fuel stove to keep us toasty warm for the rest of the stay.
The cottage is in a gated, quiet community with easy access to the motorway, beach and local pub - Jack White's - where good food and good service can be found.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this cottage again. Thanks Ken!

Perfect!
We stayed here in August and I cannot say enough positives about our stay at no. 34. Communication with owner Ken was great prior to arrival and he is such a great guy in person, we were made feel so welcome (including our two small dogs which was so important to us)
The house itself is perfectly placed beside the caretakers house and entrance, and is clean, cosy and has everything needed. All the channels, dvd player, cd/radio player, hair dryer.... Great fully equipped kitchen and an extra fridge freezer in the shed and a washer dryer. A bbq and outdoor furniture, plenty of storage... few games... few books..
As for the "village" itself I have never felt so relaxed and safe, everyone was so friendly and the coded gates provided such reassurance, my three girls (11, 10 and 8) made friends, found and named a kitten!, played tennis on the fabulous tennis courts, table tennis in the underused playroom (bring balls this place needs use) rode their scooters... and the nearby sandy Brittas Bay Beach is simply sublime... 4km of heaven...a daily dose was food for the soul.
As regards day trips. Arklow,(about 10k away) a town I had never visited has a brilliant shopping centre and huge grocery stores if that is your thing (but there is a centra and a little cafe near the beach) but surrounding areas are full of fantastic amenities and you are spoilt for choice, Wicklow Jail was absolutely fantastic I would recommend highly. We ate in the nearby Jack Whites, so pleasant and 16.50 for 3 courses you wont go hungry!.... Also try Mickey Finns in Redcross a really rustic hub of great food, lovely staff and its own beer! There was also a burger van in the beach carpark.
To conclude we loved every minute and came home relaxed and planning our return...Thank you so much Ken for letting us enjoy this wonderful house.

Lovely house. Very comfortable and well equipped.Peaceful and safe.
Only downside is useless WiFi. Not able to use laptop all week and phones hit and mostly miss on data roaming. Fabulous beach a very short drive away along narrow road with no pavement so not good for walking. Don't pay to use the car park- turn right instead and there's parking places beside the road after a few hundred yards. Great place for a holiday.
