Downstairs, there is a large, open-plan living space with patio doors on to a private terrace with table and chairs enjoying wonderful countryside views. The dining table is placed by these French doors, so even when dining indoors you have the perfect opportunity to take in the views. The kitchen area is fully equipped for self-catering, with all the utensils you’ll need, plus washing machine, double oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The lounge has a wood-burning stove (logs provided), a TV, DVD player, iPod docking station and a Sonos WiFi speaker. If you're on a cycling trip, you can store your bikes in an adjacent shed in the grounds. There is private, off-road parking for two vehicles for the cottage. WiFi is provided, plus high quality towel and linen, and the owners throw in a few welcome goodies to get you started. More

Located in Friston, near Eastbourne in the glorious Sussex countryside, Friston Down Cottage offers the ideal location for walkers and cyclists, with the South Downs Way just a stone's throw away. Beaches are also within easy access, along with a multitude of quaint villages and historical attractions. And if you're looking for a bigger social scene, Eastbourne is only four miles away and even Brighton is just a bus ride or drive away with its cosmopolitan cafes, shops and nightlife. The village of East Dean is an easy walk away, with a fantastic pub offering great food and real ales - the Tiger Inn. The village has a nice selection of shops including a delicatessen, grocers, Post Office/newsagents, grocery store and a hairdressers.
