The cottage is well maintained & spacious with a nice wide drive for 2+ vehicles. The gardens are beautiful & well kept. The main bedroom is pure luxury with en-suite & large walk in curved shower. The balcony is an added bonus for balmy evenings. It has a modern kitchen area that is sufficiently equipped with appliances, crockery & utensils if fully occupied by a family. The lounge is big & comfortable with views toward the distant countryside.
The soft furnishings could be improved though, especially the mattress in the downstairs double which is as hard as a rock and sadly pillows, cushions & duvets are particularly thin although extra bedding is readily available. Some of the carpets are stained & could do with replacing. Things like loo rolls were in short supply but that is a minor issue. We had to take our own towels but then we knew that at the outset. The hand towels that were supplied were like sand paper but we didn’t need to use them anyway.
Although this sounds like a lot if criticism we actually liked the property all told. It just needs a few tweaks to make it perfect. It was so convenient too for walking the Strawberry Line or going into town where there is a Co-op for shopping & pub for meals/drinks. Bus takes you to Cheddar, Wells & Weston Super Mare every hour if you don’t want to drive.
