About the neighbourhood
Matlock bath and Matlock grew popular during the early Victorian era due to the Spa waters and dramatic scenery, the gorge cut through the limestone by the river Derwent has the feeling of a mini seaside about it. Illuminated by light decorations in the autumn with floating flotillas of light it is an amazing spectacle. Travel Alp style on the cable car ride up to the Heights of Abraham and explore the caves as well as the bird's eye view or the area.

Fantastic restaurants serving everything from Fish & Chips to Thai to fine English cuisine as well as everything in between nobody ever leaves hungry. And with local brews such as Peak ales you will not die of thirst either
