Il Mulino stands solid and comfortable, perched on a rock where the sound of the river flowing beneath your windows will lull you to sleep at night. The Mill was fully modernised in 2000 but many original features have been retained: cotto and wooden floors, beams and even a breakfast table on the terrace constructed from mill-stones. The Mill sleeps 5/6 guests and there are two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and lounge with log-burner. The countryside is beautiful and ideal for walkers, nature-lovers and those who want to sample 'real' Italy. Honey buzzards, wild boar, porcupines, egrets and dippers on the river are just a few sightings listed by past guests. The river is perfect for refreshing dips. Thanks for your lovely review. Several people who have busy jobs and live in the city express your feelings too. We all need to escape sometimes and we hope you escape to us again.

Everything about the mill is perfect, from the comfy beds and furnishings inside the house to the magestic scenery outside it. The river is wonderful to swim in and tranquil to read by.

Additional amenities & feature info
- thick, stone walls ensure the mill is cool in the summer and cosy on cooler nights.- the watermill is centuries old and we have retained as many original features as possible whilst providing modern comforts.- stunning location which all our guests fall in love with. - please note that, because we are in a deep river valley, we have had to install satellite internet with the consequence of very limited download capacity. Internet is therefore available only for checking emails or similar light usage. Better connections are available nearby.

About the neighbourhood
The nearest small town is Badia Tedalda at 5km with 2 grocers, a butchers, a bank ,post office, bars and restaurants plus a tourist office. There is also a very good restaurant within walking distance of Il Mulino. It is difficult to convey in words how relaxing il Mulino is and although there are places of interest within easy access, most of our guests have been quite content to let the place work its magic and stay put. They have told us they welcome the opportunity to 'catch up' with family, read, paint, bird-watch, walk, safely bathe in the river and, above all, for their children to be children again. In June, July and August there are plenty of 'feste' in the villages, with dancing in the squares and food stalls where you can sample local specialities and wine. Sansepolcro is ...
How to get there
Bologna and Ancona airports are also within reasonable distance. We would be pleased to provide further advice on airports if required. .
