Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Would highly recommend this stylish comfortable apartment! It is perfectly located in the centre of Pistoia which makes it the ideal place to explore this Tuscan gem. The owner Titti is incredibly helpful & keen to make your stay memorable and this combined with the friendly and welcoming locals made us feel very much at home. Right on your doorstep there are fantastic restaurants and bars which serve delicious traditional Tuscan dishes. Every street and square you wander through has beautiful buildings and things to see. We especially enjoyed our scramble to the top of the bell tower where you get the most fabulous views, including Florence on a clear day, and our visit to the silver altar. Pistoia is also a great base for exploring further afield including Florence, Lucca & Pisa. We used the train system which was very cost effective, reliable and straightforward - the staff at the station spoke good English and helped us sort train times & validate our tickets. There are some great shops in Pistoia but the store opening hours can be erratic which may have been due to the fact that we visited in August! There is an interesting market on the Saturday (also sets up on a Wednesday too) and each morning there is a great fruit and veg market which we used to get bits and pieces for breakfast and salads. There is also a supermarket about 5 mins away and this will have everything you need if you want to have evenings in. As the apartment is in the centre of town and by one of the squares there was some noise from people eating outside. If you are a light sleeper stick in some ear plugs but otherwise you should be ok. We had a lovely time here and will be recommending Pistoia and the apartment to friends and family. Overall a fantastic 5 days and one we hope to repeat in the future.

Pistoia is a medium size town in the north of Tuscany, located between Florence (very crowded) and Lucca (not quite so crowded) and Pisa (very crowded). In spite of its significant historic sites, Pistoia seems to have been pretty much forgotten on the tourist path (this may change somewhat since it is the Cuture City of the Year 2017 in Italy this year). That makes it a mixed bag. There is no first class hotel in the city, nor any restaurant of special note. However, it does afford the visitor a more "authentic" view of middle class Italy, without having to compete with myriad tourists along the way. The apartment in question is a spacious, high ceiling place, with two big bedrooms (with big comfortable beds), a living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Once we opened the shutters it was filled with light and looked out onto a main square (also a mixed bag as it could get noisy, though the windows are modern and double paned). I particularly appreciated not having to go our and buy toilet paper, olive oil, etc., as it was already there. "TittI" is a meticulous manager/ (owner?). She picks you up at wherever you arrive in Pistoia (escorts you to a free parking area if that is your choice, there is no parking at all in the historic center of the town where the apartment is). Then she takes you to the apartment, explains everything, answers questions, etc. I was cross as the remote for the television cable was missing, so she quickly went out an bought another. She is helpful with reference to restaurants/supermarkets/sites, etc. Thank you for your hospitality.
