Cascina Bricchetto Langhe, a hamlet of traditional Le Langhe stone farmhouses, can be found at Trezzo Tinella (Cn) about 10 Km from Alba and 3 km Barbaresco. Free Internet access in the house and at exterior. The farmhouse, possibly the oldest in the area, is situated at an altitude of 600m at the top of a peaceful remote hill surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut groves as far as the eye can see.The views are extraordinary; a sequence of hills overlooked by Monviso and the Monte Rosa massif. In the grounds of Cascina Bricchetto you will find a covered area for eating al fresco,barbecue, a covered parking area, table tennis, various toys for the children e.g. swings, sandpit, rocking horse, skittles. Ca der Forn ( House of the bread oven) On the ground floor there is a small entrance hall leading to a very spacious open plan kitchen/ living room /dining room with comfortable sofas and a cosy split level area close to the working fireplace. The kitchen is very well equiped for the amateur or gourmet chef. There is also one bathroom with a shower. On the first floor reached by a beautiful wooden staircase there are two further oak floored double bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath. Balcony with a splendid view of the surrounding hills and the Alps dominated by Monviso. The bathrooms are supplied with soap, shampoo and hairdryer. Since 2008 the accommodation has held a prestigious Certificate of Quality given by Ospitalita Italiana. However, if you need more room or this property is already booked please contact us about renting our larger house in the hamlet called Ca dra Topia (the Grape Pergola House). The house have recently been renovated to a very high luxury standard maintaining many original features and using natural and local materials. It is furnished with both antique and modern furniture and have the advantage that being built in stone which are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The house is completely independent. Our family stayed at the house for 4 nights and had just the most wonderful time. The host is very welcoming and caring. She prepared a crib, high chair and toys for my 9 months old. She also helped me purchase diapers and baby food....More

Having spent a wonderful week at the Bread Oven House last year, we returned this year for the same period. It was as fabulous as we remembered it to be. Giovanna again had two bottles of wine to welcome us, and we loved them both....More

About the neighbourhood
A walk or a drive of about 3 km will bring you to the village of Barbaresco. While Alba, a town with medieval towers, old arcades, and museums is about 10 Km far away. This town is regarded as the 'capital of the Langhe' and hosts many famous events, such as: “Vinum – presentation and tasting of the wines of the area, and of the most typical local products” (Spring); “Market-exhibition of the white truffle of the Langhe and the Roero”, together with a sequence of events both cultural and gastronomic, that finishes at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour with the charitable Auction of the giant truffle, to which the most famous restaurateurs take part (Fall).
