Glad you enjoyed your stay. Point noted about mirror in bedroom, one has now been installed. The Loch View Grill goes on off season opening hours at this time of year. Can be a problem during the week but the demand is simply not there...More

A perfectly pleasant cabin was spoiled by relentlessly cheap and uncomfortable furniture. In my view the furnishings have been assembled thoughtlessly and with little regard to their utility or the comfort of the occupants. The chairs are tatty and dirty and extremely uncomfortable, and the...More

Point taken about furniture, much of which has now been replaced. With regards to 3 star rating this is applied by Visit Scotland (Tourist Board), not us.

About the neighbourhood
This unique location was created by the forestry commission as a place of tranquillity, amid outstanding scenery. In addition to the peace and quiet of the log cabin locations the surrounding area provides an amazing natural playground with forests, burns, rivers, castles, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy. The area has a proliferation of walks, cycle routes and local attractions, has an abundance of wildlife and is a world renowned destination for anglers. Many visitors are captivated by the area, as we were, and return time and again to the shores of Loch Awe. We hope that you too will visit our highland hideaway and enjoy our log cabins and the natural wonders of this unspoiled part of Scotland. Oban is the gateway to the western isles and some of the most spectacular scenery...
How to get there
Directions by road: From Glasgow Take the M8 towards Erskine Bridge. Turn off on to the M898 and cross bridge. After the Bridge turn left on to the A82 towards Loch Lomond. Stay on this road until you reach Tarbet where you turn right on to the A82 towards Crianlarich. At Crianlarich turn left after going under the railway bridge. Just past the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum turn left on to the A85 towards Oban. Follow this road through Dalmally and along the north shore of Loch Awe. Near Taynuilt Take the B845 towards Kilchrenan. Go through Kilchrenan and after 7.5 miles (seems further) you will arrive at Dalavich. The site is on the left hand side just before the village centre. Approx 2 hours from Glasgow airport. Nearest train station in Taynuilt, 14 miles.
