About the neighbourhood
Arienskill cottage is so well placed for exploring the West Coast of Scotland, it is hard to narrow down all the things to see & do there.
Lochailort village is in one of the most rugged parts of the Scottish Highlands – the Gaelic name for it is 'An Garbh Criochan' which translates as the 'Rough Bounds'. The whole area, with its soaring mountains and complex coastlines, is glacial in origin and this has produced some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.
The cottage is located on the 'Road to the Isles' and the West Highland railway follows this road for much of its scenic length. The train station is nearby.
Set in the Glenfinnan area of the Highlands, there is so much to do with walking, cycling and fishing all to be enjoyed from Lochailort village. Wi...
