Le Jarrier Gite is in the beautiful and popular ALPES MANCELLES and offers self catering accommodation for up to 4 guests in a rural setting. It is a converted stable / barn renovated to provide a detached holiday home with modern facilities & a well appointed kitchen. We also provide Free WIFI. The gite sleeps 4 in a total of 2 bedrooms. The large garden area benefits from a south facing position with lovely views & an above ground private pool (3.4 meters). The pool is seasonal (approx end of May - Sept) , however it benefits from solar heating. There is private parking for two or more vehicles. Le Jarrier Gite has a well equipped kitchen & the conservatory / garden room provides excellent views of the private large garden and surrounding countryside. On the first floor is Bedroom 1, the main private/gallery style bedroom directly off the stairs, with a double bed and an en-suite W/C, giving the gite the added benefit of 2 W/C's (one on each floor). The LCD TV has both French & UK Freesat channels and is SMART / WIFI (in the lounge / conservatory). We can provide a travel cot for a baby / toddler with bedding and also a high seat upon request (no charge). Heating is provided via electric wall heaters and there are no additional charges for electricity. Bedding and towels are all provided free of charge. 2020 will be our 13th year & we have been fully booked every season to date, with a high number of returning customers +/or their friends & family. We are also proud of our EXCELLENT score rating of 5/5 on Trip Advisor (58+ reviews).More

Perfect spot for a weeks relaxation in the sun

Picturesque Gite in the perfect spot to do nothing but relax. Totally unspoiled views of the rolling fields from your own huge back garden and clear starry skies at night. Heather & Gary are the perfect hosts - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Time at Le Jarrier

We enjoyed a relaxing week here with our 8 year old daughter. The pool, outdoor games and garden space were perfect for a lovely family holiday with lots to see and do nearby. Great place, well equipped and fantastic hosts.

About the neighbourhood
The Alpes Mancellesis a well known area of natural beauty popular with visitors and the village of St Leonard des Bois offers canoeing, walking & tree climbing. Within half a mile of Le Jarrier Gite is the viaduct at St Georges le Gaultier, where organised Bungee Jumps are available. The local lake with beach at Sille le Guillaume (just 10 mins drive from Le Jarrier) offers cafes and bars, boat hire, pedalos, crazy golf, tree climbing and fishing. There is a mini train ride available during the season to take you around the lake if you prefer a change from walking, and the forest is ideal for walking and cycling. Fresnay sur Sarthe has a traditional weekly market a medieval ruins offering excellent views. Local markets every day of the week.
