Far Havens (Chalet 61) is located a few minutes drive from the picturesque village of aberdovey, situated on a hill side overlooking the dyfi estuary and enjoying spectacular views. Peace and tranquillity rule here, yet it is within easy reach of the centre of alternative technology which attracts visitors from all over Europe. The bustling street market in Machynlleth every Wednesday where you can pick up local produce and brows in the unique shops displaying the work of local artists.

This newly refurbished Chalet consists of two bedrooms, shower room, kitchen, Living room with lovely woodburning stove.Set in an idilic rural surroundings with views over the dyfi estuary. Chalet is south facing making the most of the sunny days.

What a fantastic cabin, clean, warm and comfortable, so why 4 stars. Tap water is brown and not fit to drink [4 large bottles of water supplied had to buy 8 more] and the approach road although steep was easy to drive up and down...More

About the neighbourhood
The small Welsh seaside resort Aberdovey huddles along its quayside. Aberdyfi, to give it its Welsh spelling, is situated where the River Dovey meets Cardigan Bay.
Aberdovey also boasts an 18 hole links championship golf course.
The nearby marshes on the southern side of estuary, which encompasses a range of wildlife habitats, are owned by the Dyfi National Nature Reserve and contain a variety of wildfowl and migrant wading birds. The RSPB Ynyshir Reserve has over 70 species of breeding birds. The RSPB has installed excellent hides with views over the salt marshes.

Head for Machynlleth, which is the nearest town, from there follow the A493 Sign posted Aberdyfi approximately 5 miles sign to Pennal village, further 3 miles sign on right hand side of road saying Plas Panteidal 100 meters. Drive to the top of the steep winding road until it levels out, Far Havens is on your right hand side after 50 meters.
