About the neighbourhood
Ventnor is a picturesque, Victorian town with many original buildings. It is less commercial than many other resorts on the island. There are some fabulous coastal walks into Steephill Cove to the west, and to Bonchurch to the east. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and some nice pubs and bars locally. The beach is sandy with very fine shingle.
How to get there
Car and passenger ferries at Fishbourne, Cowes and Yarmouth. Prices vary and are cheaper midweek.
