The Hen House is a stone bungalow which we have refurbished this year, comprising one bedroom with a double four poster bed and an en-suite shower room. The living/dining area is open plan and there is a separate kitchen with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer box, toaster, kettle, etc. There is off road parking outside, and a small seating area which overlooks the back of the Hall. Great Place

My husband, 10 year old son and I stayed here for two nights. It is a great place to stay anx good local amenities although you will need a car to get to them. clean and very comfortable. Shower works well and is a good...More

How to get there
Postcode DH7 9RS Leave motorway at junction 62. Follow A690 to Durham, then take the A691 road towards Consett. After approximately 3 miles, turn left at roundabout signposted Langley Park/Quebec. As you leave Langley Park and approx. half a mile on, turn right at bend in road - signposted Hamsteels Lane. This takes you downhill, then up to the top of the hill (approx three quarters mile) we are on right at very top of hill.
