We stayed for a week at a Bella Vista apartment that had a Garden (pool) view rather than a sea-view, i.e. it was a ground floor apartment. We really enjoyed our stay.
Even though we didn't arrive till late in the evening Barbara was there to meet us and show us around the property and had bought milk for us which was great. The apartment is finished to a very high standard. There are only around 10 apartments in the block so the pool never got crowded, there were always sun loungers available. I would have appreciated a bit more shade but my wife and son were perfectly happy.
The large beach is about 5 minutes walk downhill, great sand and sea, we ate at both beach restaurants and preferred and really enjoyed CampiMar - very friendly and good food (best to book).
You need a car the Apartment is in an area that is all apartments and there are no local shops. however the supermarket is only 5 minutes drive. The walk into Lagos is a bit long for an evening stroll but...

About the neighbourhood
There are 2 restaurants located on Porto de Mós beach, only 3.4 minutes walk away, the beach itself is approx. 1.5kms long protected from the wind by high cliffs, there are shallow rock pools at low tide on either side of the beach and the whole location is great for families, in fact the nationals & locals use this beach more than any other in the area. Lagos is approx. 3kms away and can be walked within 25 minutes, taxis are abundant and cost around €7, people from the area can be seen walking into town and taxiing back.

The apartment is located approx. 40 minutes from Faro International Airport via the A22 motorway to Lagos west (Exit 1) & is situated only minutes from the motorway access. This villa is located only minutes walk from the beach & 2 fine restaurants. Mini markets & international supermarkets are within a short walk & drive

Low cost & national airlines fly to Faro International airport on a daily basis

Lisbon airport is 2h.15mins via the A2 motorway to Lagos as is Sevilla airport
