Make a visit to the Salvador Dahli museum in Figueres on the Spanish side, about one hour drive away or to the modern museum and Picasso museum in Ceret .
There are 4 local beaches in Collioure with a mix of sand and pebbles and from Argelés sur Mer, about 15 minutes drive away, and further north you have long sandy beaches.
The area is close to the Pyrenées and the Albère mountains and has fantastic walking and hiking opportunities which can be started directly from our house.
Collioure with it's history of famous artists, Matisse, Derain, Picasso and Dali, is still attractive to artists and has more than 30 local galleries .
Enjoy this medieval seaside village with it's charm , restaurants, wine, sunshine and festivals. One of the most visited is the Saint Vincents festival in the middle of August.
