This wonderful architect designed house is full of light and delightful features, tastefully decorated and furnished, large garden, family friendly. Comfortably accommodates 10/11 people. The popular heritage town of Westport is 3.5 miles away. Voted the best place to live in Ireland Westport has lots to offer with pubs, restaurants, hotels, live music. It is on the Wild Atlantic Way. It has the Westport to Achill Greenway and Croagh Patrick. The Yellow House is an ideal base for touring Achill, Connemara, Galway and Mayo.Ideal for an evening Barbeques. There are lovely country walks nearby . Westport is one of the top attractions on the Wild Atlantic Way. If you need extra heat press Boost once for 1 hour and twice for 2 hours. ( Timer in the back kitchen inside the back door) There is a Starter Pack provided for the stove but you will need to purchase logs or coal. More

Perfect house for our group

A perfect house for our group. Most of our clients mentioned the great quality of the beds. They all slept very well. Jimmy is a great host. Smooth and easy communication. We will definitely rent the Yellow House again.

Great stay

A lovely spacious house in a great location. We visited as a family group and all 3 generations loved the stay. The owner Jimmy is very helpful and attentive. We’ll be back!

Charming House

Lovely house in Westport

Lovely spacious house in Westport ideal for large group of friends or family. House was clean and the heating was on, when we arrived. The home owner was very helpful. If I was visiting Westport again Id definitely stay at “the yellow house”.

A good base for a large gathering

Great large house and close to amenities. The plumbing lets the house down somewhat with inadequate availability of water pressure for baths, showers and hand basins. Great host and answered questions etc quickly.

The Yellow House is situated in a rural setting a few 100 yards off the main Ballinrobe /Westport Road. Aughagower (2.5 miles) is a historic village, famous for its Round Tower and association with Ireland's patron saint; St Patrick. It has a shop, petrol station, 2 pubs and a church. The Westport Country Lodge Hotel is a boutique hotel less than a mile away and has excellent food, a lively bar with music at weekends. Westport (4 miles) is a beautiful heritage town and has an array of hotels, restaurants, pubs, craft shops, galleries and cafes. The Westport/Louisburgh/Achill area has a variety of beautiful, safe sandy beaches
