Awarded Certificate of Excellence winner by Trip Advisor and approved by Discover Ireland to Failte Ireland welcome standard. The cottage is a protected structure and dates back to the 1800's. The inside has been updated but still holds some of its original features. It is away from the public road in a private setting amongst trees and old stone buildings in a quiet and peaceful area plus a large garden. It is just 1 mile from Callan, and is situated 16 km (10 miles) south of Kilkenny. Callan has all your everyday need like supervalu, Aldi, petrol stations, chemists, dry cleaners, medical centre, golf course, public library, hairdressers, beauticians, pubs/ restaurants and take aways(chips/burgers & chineese food) and a play ground.

The cottage is close to Kilkenny with its castle and other attractions. The cottage is well equipped for a short or longer stay and Breda was most welcoming and informative.?

We arrived at Mollasey cottage and was delighted at what we found. it's is beautiful and remote too but still felt secure. absolutely peaceful too.It is not far from the village too which has two supermarkets and chemists etc. And a visit to Kilkenny is...More
