This charming sunny south facing spacious 2nd floor apartment is located in the upmarket, popular, pleasant and safe residential district of Morningside in Edinburgh. The apartment overlooks the award winning Morningside Park, has excellent public transport links, and also unrestricted on street parking.

Very comfortable, clean and quite flat in a nice area of Edinburgh. Our dog loved the park opposite and also enjoyed the biscuits left for her on arrival!! :) :) Graham & Milda were really welcoming and helpful both before and during our stay. We definitely recommend it!

A lovely apartment, cosy, close to a super bus service. Gardens close by for the dogs. Lovely touch from graham with items in the fridge on arrival. Pity it was only a five day visit, but walked lots, and rested well. Batteries fully recharged!

Our hosts Milda and Graham were very hospitable, very nice warm and friendly couple. The apartment was very clean and in a very nice district in the city. Nice pub "The Waiting Room" right down the street with all the necessities within walking distance.

About the neighbourhood
Morningside Road is the jewel in the crown with its array of traditional cosy bars and gastro pubs, restaurants including French and Italian, cafes, delicatessens, grocers, bohemian outlets and antique shops. There is also an art deco cinema and theatre close by, together with a Waitrose, Marks and Spencers, Sainsburys, Boots Pharmacist, Banks and a Post Office.

The flat is a 5 minute walk to Craiglockhart Nature Reserve which has a leisure centre and golf course, and a 10 minute walk to the Hermitage of Braid Nature Reserve. The Pentland Hills are also close by for walking and boast the largest dry ski slope in Europe. Edinburgh is a cycle friendly with numerous designated cycle paths throughout the city.
Getting around
The excellent and regular Lothian Bus No 23 takes you from the front door of the Apartment into the heart of the city in under 20 minutes.

Railway: Waverley/ Haymarket Stations: 4.0 km
The No 23 Lothian Bus going in the direction of 'Greenbank' (£1.60 - exact fare required) takes you to the main door of the apartment in around 20 minutes from the city centre where the airport shuttle bus and tram stops are, and also Waverley Railway Station and the Bus Station. The apartment is reached easily by car by leaving the A720 City Bypass at the Lothianburn Junction and onto the A702, and at the bottom of Comiston Road where the clock and traffic lights are, turn left at the Bank of Scotland and after around 500m you will see Morningside Park, and the apartment is opposite.
