Baddegai is a Welsh stone longhouse sleeping 8 gruests in 4 spacious bedrooms all with en-suite shower/bathrooms with WIFI throughout. The house is situated in a private and secluded location in the foothills of Pen-y-fan but is only 4 miles from the market town of Brecon. It is a wonderful walking area with direct access onto the Beacons along the old drovers road up to Pen-y-fan. The property is situated in 3 acres of grounds including a lawned garden, south-facing terrace which is a sun trap and two fields which are perfect for exercising dogs. This is a great place to relax, have a barbecue and play croquet surrounded by mountain views. It is a Freeflow Spa Monterey Hot Tub with 22 hydrotherapy jets, 7 port foot jet for deep relaxation, multi-colour LED lighting and a Waterfall water feature. It will be up and running by the end of November 2016 so book your ‘holiday with a hot tub’ now. The Beacons is also a great area for mountain biking or more leisurely trips along country lanes and the canal tow path. There is a shed in the garden which can be used for locking up mountain bikes and a tap for washing them off. A stream runs alongside the garden and fields, safely fenced off, which is no danger to small children and great fun for older children. The property has been recently renovated and there original beamed ceilings, oak floors, two wood burning stoves and a wealth of character. Cottage Accommodation now completely renovated and re-furnished by new owners. The house has now been completely refurbished, renovated and extended into the barns with new furniture, good quality linen and a new superb kitchen, and the attached barn has been tastefully converted to further extend the accommodation. Bedroom 1: is up its own staircase is a super king size double with mountain views and a large en suite with a bath with shower over. Bedroom 2 and 3: can be twins or super king size doubles. Bedroom 4: can be twin or standard double Bedroom 2 is on the ground floor with an en suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower - the other 2 en suite bedrooms are up a second staircase. Bedroom 3 has mountain views and an en suite with a bath with shower over. Bedroom 4 has an en suite shower room. All the bedrooms have plenty of storage, sofas and underfloor heating, as do the bathrooms. There is a completely new well equipped kitchen with a double induction oven, eye level grill, microwave, large fridge and ample work and storage space. The table in the kitchen seats 6 and has a slate floor with underfloor heating. The large utility room has fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, tumble dryer and is perfect for drying off wet dogs. The large comfortable sitting room has plenty of sofas and a woodburning stove, Freeview TV and DVD. The dining room also has a woodburning stove and a table that can seat up to 12. Useful information Duvets, bedlinen and towels provided. Electricity and fuel for the woodburning stoves. Travel cot and high chair available. Ample parking on the drive. Just returned from week here. Wonderful property, well designed roomy and ideal for a group of friends or a family get together like we had. Can’t fault any aspects. Having the hot tub after being out walking was great so were the log fires .More

This holiday cottage is in a spectacular location right at the foot of the mountains. The house was lovely and warm and the beds were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Baddegai is in a secluded but not isolated location in the middle of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is within 5 miles of Brecon which has all the expected amenities of a market town.
Getting around
There is a bus route from Merthyr to Brecon which passes along the A470 less than a mile from the house. The nearest train station is in Merthyr. There is a very good local taxi company, details of which are provided in the property.
