The cottage is situated in a prime position off The Terrace, just above the High Street, on a private road with private off-road parking. The cottage is less than 2 mins walk from the beach, restaurants and shops. The private rear garden is completely enclosed, mainly laid to lawn, with a large raised decked area ideal for barbeques and alfresco dining. The garden enjoys sunshine all day and is safe for children. The private rear garden can be accessed through sliding patio doors from both the living room and dining room, and also through a gate at the side of the cottage. The decked area has a teak dining table and chairs (with cushions). At the front of the property is a small courtyard with a table and chairs. About the neighbourhood
The Aldeburgh area Aldeburgh is famous for its Music and Arts Festival founded by Benjamin Britten and is held in June every year at Snape Maltings Concert Hall. The Aldeburgh Carnival and Regatta is held every year in August. On the beach is the 'Scallop Sculpture' by the artist Maggie Hambling. Located on the River Alde, the town is notable for its Blue Flag shingle beach and fisherman's huts where freshly caught fish is sold daily. Visitors to Aldeburgh can enjoy picturesque walks along the beach, an excellent range of restaurants and cafes and of course the award winning fish and chip shops. How to get there
From the A12 (either North or South), exit onto the B1123 and follow the road all the way to Aldeburgh Town. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit, and head inti the Town Centre. Just past the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, turn right at the T junction and follow the road into the High Street. Continue along the High Street and at the bakery turn right into Choppings Hill. Take the first left into Hartington Road. The cottage is located on Champion Road, a private road accessed from Hartington Road.
