Interaction with guests
We have a fabulous self catering holiday house which is located on Crag Path, in Aldeburgh's Heritage Area, just a short distance from the town centre. Oakley House has extensive, uninterpreted views of the Aldeburgh seafront and have immediate access onto the beach. Oakley House, which has been an important and striking feature of the Aldeburgh seafront since the 1870's. This pretty, brightly coloured villa, of typical Suffolk style, dominates the historic Oakley Square and enjoys an enviable beach front position with uninterupted sea views. Accommodation is arranged over three floors, although the main living areas are on the ground and first floor.

About the neighbourhood
Visitors to Aldeburgh are attracted to its Blue Flag shingle beach which is dotted with fishermen's huts from which daily catches are sold. The town is located within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is close to a number of nature reserves and sites of Special Scientific Interest including the Minsmere RSPB reserve. There is plenty to do in Aldeburgh and the surrounding area for all ages and interests.
Getting around
Once you're in Aldeburgh all facilities are at your fingertips. However, just a short distance from Aldeburgh you can visit a small seaside village of Thorpeness where you can hire a sailing dingy or rowing boat and take to the water on Thorpeness Meare. Alternatively, visit the House in the Clouds; the charming seaside town of Southwold some 20 miles from Aldeburgh; take a trip to Snape Maltings that houses many musical and cultural events but also includes shops, visitors centre, tea room and restaurant. Just to mention only a few things to do while you are in the area and there are so many other things to do.
