Lettuce Lodge is a detached single storey cottage sleeping up to 3 guests. Comprising a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The bedroom provides a super king bed and single bed, ideal for a couple, friends or a small family. There is a t.v., easy chair and a small dining table. The galley kitchen provides sink, oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. Crockery and cutlery. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, hand wash basin and W.C. From the bedroom are double doors to a west facing furnished patio, which is ideal for watching the sunset with a glass of wine! The patio is gated and secure for small children. Rutland is the smallest county in England and has been voted by the Sunday Times as a desirable place to live. It is quiet, charming and home to beautiful villages with properties built in the local iron stone. Rutland Water, built in 1972, is the biggest man made lake in Europe and including the peninsula, the footpath by the shore is 26 miles around. The local Shore Link bus service has many stops around the water and also includes Uppingham and Oakham. Cycles are permitted on board. The bus stop for this service is about 500 metres from Broccoli Bottom. The A1 and A47 make Rutland extremely accessible by road and there are rail links from London and Birmingham to Oakham and Stamford train stations.
