Langdale is a modern and spacious lodge in the Langdale area at White Cross Bay. It enjoys an end of cul-de-sac location and is close to all the clubhouse facilities. IMPORTANT GUEST NOTES • The following stays can be booked - 3 night weekend breaks Friday to Monday, 4 night midweek breaks Monday to Friday or 7, 14 night stays arriving on either a Friday or Monday. At certain times of the year and usually within one month of arrival, many of our lodges are available for a 2 night weekend break (typically Friday & Saturday). Christmas and New Year – There are set stays at this time. Please click ‘Send Message’ to find out more. • After booking you will receive a message requesting further information including the names and ages of all guests, postal address and dog breed(s) (If applicable) so that we may complete the booking on our own internal booking system. • PLEASE NOTE: There is insufficient space in any bedroom for a travel cot. A young infant can be accepted by arrangement where sleeping in a moses basket or equivalent. • Complimentary WiFi is provided by the park and subject to fair usage guidelines. Quality and reliability of connection will vary based on the number of people using it, prevailing weather conditions and therefore may be limited or slower than you are used to. From our experience, it is only suitable for page browsing and sending emails. WiFi is provided for personal use only and is not intended for high data usage, gaming and/or use for business purposes. • The lodge is situated on an operational holiday park. Your stay is subject to separate park rules and guests agree to follow these rules during their stay which includes going to reception to register on arrival. ACCOMMODATION DETAILS Living area: - There is a bright open plan lounge and dining area - Furniture includes two 3 seater leather sofas and dining table with 6 chairs - 32″ flat screen TV with integrated DVD player - Feature fire place with electric fire Kitchen area: - The fitted kitchen is well equipped with a gas oven and hob, fridge (with freezer compartment), dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster, ample cutlery and crockery plus storage space Master bedroom: - Queen size bed - Fitted wardrobe and drawers Second bedroom: - Full size twin beds (3 foot wide) - Fitted wardrobe and drawers Third bedroom: - Full size twin beds (3 foot wide) - Fitted wardrobe and drawers Family bathroom: - The family size bathroom serves all the bedrooms and includes an over bath shower, toilet and basin OTHER INFORMATION * Centrally heated ensuring a comfortable stay all year round * Please bring your own DVDs * What's included? A fully equipped kitchen for self-catering. All gas and electricity, bed linen and towels. Please bring your own swimming towels when using the hot tub and/or leisure facilities. * Accessibility: Langdale is accessed by 4 steps. The lodge is then all on the same ground floor level. * Outside Area: The deck is fully enclosed, secure and gated. A slab or base is provided for a BBQ but please bring your own disposable BBQ. Decking area to the front and side of the lodge. The hot tub is to the rear of the lodge in a gated area. * Leisure Facilities: All stays include FREE use of Choices leisure facilities during your stay (located offsite at Troutbeck Bridge - LA23 1HP). Further details provided in the arrival information. Alternatively, White Cross Bay has its own onsite leisure facilities. You will need to purchase a leisure pass from reception which is currently £15 per lodge. This covers everyone staying in the lodge for the duration of your stay.More

It looks great and it really modern looks nothing like these pictures. It's an ideal place to stay if you have pets or children. There are great little touches such as some children's toys in the kids room and a spear dog lead, bowls and...More

White Cross Bay Holiday Park - is situated on the shores of Lake Windermere in one of the most idyllic and scenic locations in the heart of the Lake District. The panorama of the lake, surrounding fells and countryside is simply breath-taking. The park lies between the villages of Windermere and Ambleside, close to all the local attractions and amenities. The popular centre of Bowness-on-Windermere with its many restaurants and bars is also a short distance away. White Cross Bay boasts a range of onsite facilities including a restaurant, lounge bar and leisure facilities (payable locally).
Getting around
Railway: Windermere train station connects to Kendal where you will find a selection of high street shops and major supermarkets. Bus: The train station is also a hub for local bus services connecting Windermere with Coniston, Grasmere, Keswick and other destinations in Cumbria. Car: The A591 is the main route through the national park connecting north to south. The road connects Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, Grasmere, Keswick. White Cross Bay is off the A591. Boat: Windermere Lake Cruises offer an idyllic way of getting to various shores. Their main pier is in Bowness-on-Windermere, approx. 8-min drive from White Cross Bay, approx. 25-min walk from Windermere village.
