The village has a small friendly pub, a well-stocked shop/ post office, a beautiful church and in the summer months, an outdoor pool. Orchard House is a large, detached property that is furnished, decorated and equiped to a high standard. A hardwood staircase leads to the lounge where the upside down layout maximises the views of the village church and countryside by having double aspect windows and a balcony (25’x13’). Orchard House is in a lovely location; pretty village, with an outlook over fields, front and back. The sheep to the rear were a constant source of amusement! Even though the house was located on the main road through the village it was extremely quiet...More

The house is in a good location with views out of front and back, although in October we didn't sit out much due to the weather. The rooms are all massive - the upstairs lounge is probably the same floor area as the entire downstairs...More

Just 20 minutes along the A66 is the popular town of Keswick, overlooked by some of Wainwrights favourite mountains and on the banks of Derwentwater.
